The ResMed AirSense 11 Autoset CPAP machine is a premium device that can auto-adjust air pressure based on your breathing requirements. It takes the best of its predecessor, ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet, and has refined it into a smaller package with even more technology. The machine works to automatically adjust to each patient's therapy pressure as their needs change - hourly, nightly and from season to season - to deliver the patient's ideal lowest therapy pressure. It features an auto ramp function that begins the CPAP pressure at a low level and increases the pressure once you fall asleep. The ClimateLine Air heated tubing promotes humidity throughout the hose, allowing you to take full advantage of humidification. The modern design makes it easy to use.

The app captures data and provides data analysis along with useful coaching tutorials and email messages. The app tracks: 1) hours of usage (up to 70 points), 2) air leak rate (up to 20 points), 3) number of apnea events per hour (up to 5 points), and 4) the number of times the mask is removed each night (up to 5 points). Each item is weighted and summed to the score night’s therapy (100 points possible). The leak rate is particularly annoying. It is intended to show how well the mask fits—the better the fit, the lower the leak rate. Fit is one of many items affecting leak rate. I fail to understand the relevance of leak rate to therapy other than comfort, yet it accounts for 20% of the score. The number of apnea events and hours of usage I find more insightful, yet something is missing that reflects restlessness.I rate the myAir app 3.5.I would like to see the app improved: 1) know your audience, 2) re-evaluate the weighting system, and 3) allow user to scroll multiple months (vs one month at a time).

I have only had the machine for 3 nights but I have found it to be easy to operate and it has been very effective in eliminating my apneas. Untreated my events per hour were 56.5 and with the machine it has been .1 each night! It is very quiet (it doesn't bother my wife) and has great features, such as the auto start/stop, humidity adjustment, the ramp up mode, and the EPR. I recommend that you watch the videos on YouTube on it because they show you how to go into clinical mode and adjust certain settings if needed (EPR adjustments are in clinical mode). I saw some negative comments about the water tank but I found removing and filling it not to be a problem at all. The reporting is pretty cool, I would definitely use the myAir app in conjunction with the machine. ... MoreI have only had the machine for 3 nights but I have found it to be easy to operate and it has been very effective in eliminating my apneas. If you want to upload your data to a sleep analyzer program like Oscar or SleepHQ, you have to buy and use a SD card as that data doesn't load into the myAir app, but the myAir app does have some cool reports and gives you a sleep score based on hours slept, events, mask seal, and times mask is removed. It gives you a good feeling when you get a high score.I am a new CPAP user and I thought I would have a tough time getting used to the machine. However the ramp feature and the ability to adjust the EPR (EPR makes it a little easier to exhale while wearing the mask) made the adjustment pretty easy. I've scored 90 or better each night I have used it so far. I already feel quite a bit more energetic during the day and I am not experiencing those drowsy periods where I have to fight off sleep during the day. The machine is working for me and I highly recommend it.

The tube temp and humidity levels are not "in sync" and even the slightest adjustments cause havoc. For example, Humidity level 3 wakes me after one hour with painful dry mouth and sore throat, yet Humidity level 4 causes massive rain out. Tube temp of 65 on the #10 machine was great for me. But must be Tube temp of 80 on this #11 machine to avoid condensation. Even the air pressures are precarious. Pressure of 9 isn't strong enough for me, yet 9.2 is way too powerful. The whole design of this machine seems inadequate at best. ResMed, you've done the OSA patients who depend on your product a huge disservice with the AirSense 11. For someone like me in the US, where a prescription is required with approval by health insurance, I cannot get any other machine for AT LEAST five more years now that they've provided the #11. I'm always tired now and more sleep-deprived than when I was diagnosed with OSA in 2017. My advice to other patients: DON'T GET THE AIRSENSE 11 if you have a choice. Its actually been misery for me.

EXPENSIVE DOWNGRADE = ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet
16 May 2023

Compared to my ResMed AirSense 10, the changes made for the AirSense 11 are a DOWNGRADE.1) Non-Swivel Hose Port. This puts greater stress on the hose.2) Water Chamber Incompatible with SoClean2 (Search indicates "0 Results" = a compatible water chamber NOT available)3) Heated Hose is Very Rigid with Smaller portal fitting. Reduced flexibility = Sleep Disruption when wrestling with hose during sleep. How does THAT make any sense?!I must assume that ResMed AirSense 11 is an "upgrade" from ResMed AirSense 10.As so often is the case, subtle changes have a domino affect, triggering the requirement to also replace expensive auxiliary equipment. What I don't yet know, is whether or not my MD was alerted by Apria Direct that a change of machine would result in incompatibility and additional expense to me. A reasonable person would expect such an alert. However, since Apria's right hand often doesn't seem to know what its left hand is doing, and, Apria has a history of sending me both redundant AND the WRONG supplies, somehow I doubt that Apria Direct alerted my MD to incompatibility and the corresponding requirement to replace very expensive accessories AT MY OWN EXPENSE!Arrgggh!

Good improvement over the AirSense 10
7 October 2022

I used an AirSense 10 for a few weeks, and while having a CPAP machine makes a huge difference in how I feel, I was unsure whether the AirSense 11 would offer much more than what I had. The first thing my wife noticed is that the AirSense 11 is quieter. I was surprised as I thought the AirSense 10 was whisper quiet, but after paying closer attention to the sound of the machine, I do have to agree - it is quieter. From a user perspective, it feels more comfortable with the expiratory pressure relief. I was pleased how it did not have the constant pressure when I was breathing out - nice touch! The unit does not ship with an SD card as it has a modem built in, however I inserted my own SD card as I use OSCAR to track my numbers. The water tank is a bit different in that the seal is not removeable like in the AirSense 10 (or at least I've not removed it yet), but that's a non issue. The touch screen is nice, but I did not mind the knob of the AirSense 10. Is it worth upgrading from a 10 to 11? For me, the expiratory pressure relief is worth the upgrade. If it's more comfortable, I'll be more consistent in using it.

Great CPAP

At first I wanted to say it was more of C-RAP vs C-PAP. But then I came to terms with any issues I had, were a 'me' thing vs the actual machine. That and the nature of the beast really. It sucks to have to clean it all the time, even though I have the UV sanitizer. Just the need to do so. Kind of like laundry. Why god, why is it just the worst. Anyways, what I was attempting to get across was, having to wear a CPAP isn't ideal, and if you're a light sleeper and have insomnia, it takes getting used to. But this particular model is so freaking nice. You can really tell it is well made with quality materials. Totally worth it.Now that was my review. But this particular model is so freaking nice. You can really tell it is well made with quality materials. Totally worth it.Now that was my review. Now will be the AI enhanced version of my words.Initially, I was inclined to dismiss this device as more of a nuisance than a genuine solution – "C-RAP" versus "C-PAP," if you will. However, upon further reflection, I realized that any issues I experienced were more a matter of personal adjustment rather than inherent flaws in the machine. Admittedly, the maintenance aspect can be somewhat tedious, especially the need for constant cleaning, even with the aid of a UV sanitizer. It's akin to the seemingly never-ending cycle of laundry – a necessary but exasperating task. That being said, it's crucial to emphasize that wearing a CPAP may not be the most comfortable experience, especially for light sleepers and those struggling with insomnia. Acclimatization is key. Despite these challenges, I must admit that this particular model is truly exceptional. Crafted from high-quality materials, its superior design and construction are evident. Nothing but amazing experience

I recently gave LOFTA a try and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The ordering process was fast and easy, and my product arrived on time, which was a relief. It's obvious that LOFTA puts a lot of effort into ensuring their products are high-quality and visually appealing, and I was really impressed with how well it performed. It definitely lived up to my expectations, and then some. One of the best things about LOFTA is its range of products. They have a massive selection to choose from, so you're sure to find something that meets your needs. I was particularly excited to try out the airsense11 technology, and it did not disappoint. I've been dealing with sleep issues for a while now, but since using this device, my sleep quality has improved ... MoreI recently gave LOFTA a try and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! Poorly designed machine

The AirSense 11 was SUPPOSED to be an upgrade from the AirSense 10. Not! For being a "smart" machine it is pretty stupid most days. Regardless of settings it turns itself on without provocation. The humidifier/water chamber is a nightmare to fill -- for patients with dexterity issues it would be nearly impossible; it makes a mess regardless of how careful you are while filling it; doesn't hold as much water as the previous model so it has on occasion been completely dry in the morning (that can't be good for either the patient or the machine). The screen is overly sensitive or nonresponsive much of the time and the camera is idiotically placed to be the antithesis of user-friendly. For patients with vision challenges they would have a terrible time trying to adjust ... MoreThe AirSense 11 was SUPPOSED to be an upgrade from the AirSense 10. Not! For patients with vision challenges they would have a terrible time trying to adjust settings or just look at their own stats. ResMed and Apria have both been less than receptive to criticism by this professional regarding their CPAP machine. There are other design issues as well but the list is too long frankly.

Very expensive with no support included

This product did not fix by apnea issue as I hoped it would, I still choke every night and have to sleep on my side. It pumps air into my stomach from time to time and makes me sick. The filter needs to be replaced after two months and it did not include this part, so you will be forced to spend more money on this purchase almost immediately after buying it. The videos that resmed includes to help you set up and use your machine are very basic and provide zero help with any issue I have experienced. There is no support included, and If I would like to have support, even once, for a machine that cost over a thousand dollars, I will have to pay several hundred dollars extra. Simply put, I had very high expectations but this machine did not meet any of them. Lastly, there is no support included with the purchase of this product. At this point, I have stopped using the machine as it doesn't work as promised but does pump air into my stomach and makes me sick. I don't have another thousand dollars to throw away.
