Retro Fighters BattlerGC Pro 2 Wireless Controller (Purple)

I've used the BattlerGC Pro for a few hours now. As a diehard Gamecube controller fan and one who is very particular about quality controllers, I was overall impressed. The build quality is far superior to other similarly priced offerings, and with plenty of useful features.I had some trouble initially getting Steam to read inputs, but in the end I think I blame Steam. After one or two restarts of Steam and replugging the controller USB dongle, it was working perfectly. Recommend using Big Picture Mode.So, how's it feel compared to a classic GC controller? The C-Stick is slightly migrated from a GC too, but it didn't take much getting used to. The back buttons are a nice touch, but have a very low profile. This is probably a matter of preference, as this doesn't adversely affect usage much.I anticipate putting quite a bit of time in on this thing, and I'll update if any issues arise. So far, very solid controller that managed to actually replace my wired GCC while giving me plenty on top.

It does exactly what I wished for: a wireless replacement of NGC and Dolphin.It's a light pad but substantial: it does feel like the quality product that it is.The sticks feel great and get close to the original pad's precision. Both clicking analogue triggers are also a great improvement from the non-pro model, packing a good travel that is very satisfying to fully press.I love it.I have zero problems using it on an NGC, a Mac, or a PC when using a 2.4g dongle or in BT—it just works.If you buy this for Dolphin emulation, just connect the GameCube adapter in the controller tap, and it will be identified as a real controller with wireless and analogue triggers, working as designed in games like Twin Snakes or Sunshine. One solid piece of technology. But I must warn all new customers. It doesn't work on Android. It has bluetooth so I thought it would work naturally but I was wrong. I feel bad because that's why I bought it, for my Odin 2 Emulation setup. I guess it's my fault but I just don't know why this feature isn't included. What a waste. But the device itself is top of it's class and frankly in a league of it's own. I've been using it two days now on my PC and actual Gamecube/Wii. Truly it feels like a leap forward in production and design. The only fault is the lack of Android support for Dolphin or Retroarch on Android Devices. The controller feels great in my hands. The buttons are superb quality and precision. There are many ways to connect this device to a multitude of other devices and they all work without a flaw. I'd give this a perfect score if it had Android support. It's mostly a me issue since I did not read the fine print thoroughly. Fantastic device and I'm giving it a 4/5, nearly perfect.

I am giving this a 5 Star review. But if I could give it 6+ I would. I ordered the Chrystal BattlerGC Pro and it just arrived today I live near the east coast so delivery and especially this time of year delivery can take a little bit longer. But anyways I received it and I am very impressed with the feel and the way it looks. There is only one issue I am having and It's being addressed and taken care of by the great Customer service that Retrofighters has. I told them the issue and they without hesitation remedied the issue. I am still rating this very high as it works flawlessly with my Nintendo switch. And check this my friends came today as well. .. we ordered the very same day. And he just called me with some interesting news about what he found out... Is the same exact dongle that their Retrofighters Defender uses on the PS3!!!! And he tested it out and behold.... It's compatible!!!! It works good on the PS3. He has not tried out the Bluetooth on the PS3 to see if it function that way as well will update as soon as I find out from him. But wow what an added bonus... The button layout is slightly different but easy to figure out. The yellow C-Stick is your Right Stick but it works good enough to work. He only tested out a few games with it on the PS3 (God of War 3.... God of war Chains of Olympus..) and a few others but so far it works! I am not sure they intend it this way...but no matter it works?? Can't wait till I get to see this for myself. He has sent me a few videos of him using the controller on the PS3 playing God of War 3..... And it does seem to work. Retrofighter team.... I doubt this this intentional but please don't take it away keep it like this. But until it's decided to keep it compatible or not keep it compatible... Good job. Love the controller. Despite the issue I had with mine. Retrofighter team is the best!!
