I know this is just a concealer, but I have so many red scars on my face that I end up just using it all over as if it were a foundation, and I swear by it! It covers my red marks nicely without looking cakey, and people have complimented how nice my "natural skin" is, and I let them know that I actually do have makeup on and they're always surprised! It stays on my face all day and it blends well when putting it on, and most importantly, it has not caused me any breakouts!! Love this stuff!

I love this. It's definitely better than some of the other concealers I've tried. A little bit goes a long way and it has great coverage in terms of it's concealing and in terms of how far it goes in full coverage. I barely use much. I typically focus on key areas I want coverage more and apply a bit in those areas and blend it similar to how I do with liquid foundation. I mostly love it for how long it lasts because I don't need as much. I also use another method or so of coverage in some cases with harder to cover and conceal concerns, but this is always included in any of them.

My shade is 005 fair, ( not listed ) I absolutely recommend trying this affordable concealer. It's very light consistency and light on skin not heavy, it blends seamlessly into skin. It is rare to find an option that actually looks like skin not makeup and this is a wonderful, refreshing find! You can build it up nicely. The packaging is convenient and easy to take on the go! The product lasts a great time when you dont use setting spray or do I have had great wear time either way! I have been on the hunt for a good concealer that is still affordable from the drugstore because I have a bad case of dark undereye circle and bags that she extremely hard for me to conceal. I have tried so many concealers and none have really done the trick. This one has come really close to being perfect for me. All in all, I do recommend this concealer to people who would wear it under or on top of foundation because I think it would last longer and look better applied that way. If I have to sum up in one sentence, Colour match is good, I love the packaging, blends nicely, doesn’t look cakey and coverage is good. . So I cannot find the image on here...so I will insert an image myself. I am talking about the Colorstay Skin Awaken concealer. It had the sponge tip applicator. I bought this after seeing reviews on it. The people reviewing it were mature women like myself and they were making mad bold claims. It was said to not cake up, doesnt sink into fine lines, etc. The usual claims. Idiot me did not think about the fact they were sponsored claims. This is truly the worse concealer I have tried. Worse then the Colourpop Pretty Fresh concealer. It does not blend! It bunches up and just pills. Absolutely horrible! Beware! I I hydrate the heck out of my under eyes and I know how to apply concealer. I am able to make most concealers kind of work. This is horrible.

Ok, if I am being totally honest here - the reason I decided to buy this, is because- I have a black eye. And I know foundations aren't as good as concealers, but I'd tried many - lots of it, nothing would cover it until i tried this! It was perfect. Number 005 is light, I have fair skin, this colour was great. It blended well, lasted all day. So, for an inexpensive chemist brand - REVLON colourstay concealer definitely gets my approval.

But some of my foundations are so sheer that I need a more covering foundation to conceal my slight dark circles... so I tried to use a concealer for that purpose. Let's say at first that I tried the old formula of this concealer and I HATED it : the coverage was nonexistent, it never set on my skin, moved and creased and collected into fine lines even after setting with a huge amount of powder, this was a big no for me. Then I tried this new formula. As it's a very fast self-setting product, work ONE AREA AT A TIME and WORK FAST (don't dot it everywhere on the face and expect to blend all these areas equally well, the last areas will be dry by the time you reach them for blending). As I recently began to use a dry puff to apply my foundations (same type as Tati's Blendiful but a much less overpriced dupe), I realized that this extended the drying time, allowing more playtime to blend the concealer. It works with a damp sponge too but the sponge makes it tacky sooner so I have to work faster. The trick is to blend two ways : first blending it roughly either with a puff or a sponge then finish the blending with a clean finger to smooth it and press it further into the skin, especially into cracks and crannies (otherwise it will stay on top and make them look unconcealed, thus deeper than they are). When it's smoothed out and the tackiness appears, I immediately set it with a translucent powder and it stays in place. It has exactly the same feeling as Estée Lauder Double Wear : once it's set it becomes super tacky, unmovable and truly transfer resistant, so I think you could be good-to-go without powder as long as you luckily have a smooth (young) and non-oily skin. As a face concealer, on tiny spots only (I don't use concealer on larger areas), I blend it with a tiny eyeshadow brush and, once powdered, it's barely detectable. As I don't look for brightening, I use the shade 015 Light, which is a pale shade with a beautiful warm yellow hue. This matches my skintone better than the foundation in 150 Buff which is always too neutral/beige whatever the formula (bottle, both oily and dry formulas, or tube). It has only medium coverage at best, so to correct and conceal some slight redness of post breakout scars on my face and an ever-so-slightly darkness under my eyes it works perfectly, but it's not full cover by any means. To make a comparison : the shade is ever-so-slightly deeper, with the same pale yellow hue, than Estée Lauder Double Wear Concealer in the shade 1N Extra-Light. But, as the finish is smoother and way less cakey with Colorstay Full Coverage Concealer, I give up on Estée Lauder. Well done, Revlon !

I love this product BUT...

I love this concealer. It is a staple in my makeup routine. BUT, the last handful of times that I have bought the concealer there is something very sharp inside of it. So sharp that it scratches your skin. I have just been ignoring it, thinking that it was something that I was getting into the product. However; I just cracked open a brand new concealer this morning and it happened again. Knowing it couldn't have been me I took a toothpick and dug into the concealer to find a needle sharp object. Super thin-almost like a very small and sharp sliver. What is this? Why is it in all of my concealers?

Why did you change a good thing?!

This used to be my favorite concealer, went on smoothly, lasted all day, and the Fair color was perfect for my skin tone. The new version is terrible! It does not cover as well and clumps. While it lasts, it smears if you are not careful. The color is the worst part, what used to be a perfectly neutral shade is now very yellow and stands out on my skin. The point of a concealer is to blend into the skin to hide imperfections, this it like putting a yellow Post-it on each one! Bad move, Revlon! I will be looking for another brand from now on.
