Revlon PhotoReady Candid Glow Foundation - Buff

This foundation is supposed to be sheer to medium coverage. To me, it's more sheer. I applied the product but could not really even tell I was wearing anything. This product would be great if you just want a more natural and glowy appearance. I did wear this underneath my foundation and it was very pretty. It is lightweight and has a creamy texture. It's supposed to even out your skintone and minimize the look of those things you wish to cover. Pros: Has prickly pear oil to moisture and get that glowy complexion. Very lightweight and creamy. Contains plenty of ingredients that love your skin, including anti-pollution and anti blue light ingredients to protect your skin.Contains antioxidant vitamin E to help block environmental agressors. I would say this product is more of a BB cream than a foundation.

This is a very lightweight foundation, minimal coverage, natural finish, super easy to blend, and applies effortlessly. It has antioxidant ingredients that help block blue light. I used this foundation for simple natural daily looks, and it worked well for me. I wish it had SPF, but other than that, it is a decent affordable light coverage foundation. I might even buy it again, I have no complaints. If you are looking for a lightweight foundation that provides very light coverage- it might be a good choice.

The first time I used this I did have to pump it several times to get the product out. Not a dealbreaker but something to be aware of. The scent is barely there and non-descript. I like that this is free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes, harsh fragrances and it’s non-comedogenic. It’s available in 16 shades from very light to deep. It claims it blocks pollutants but I don’t really put too much stock in that since we are exposed every day to pollution in some form or fashion and no matter what foundation you’re wearing, you’re still getting exposure. You can use your hands or a foundation brush to apply this. I think this would be really good for dry skin as it contains prickly pear oil which is very moisturizing but not greasy. First impressions and formula: The formula is lightweight and moisturizer like in consistency and feel. The coverage is quite sheer but buildable while still giving you a fresh, dewy and healthy looking complexion. I like that I can hide blemishes and even out my complexion while still allowing my skin to look like skin. Claims: *Anti-pollution, antioxidant, anti-blue light ingredients without parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes, and fragrances *Skin-enhancing liquid makeup foundation infused with prickly pear oil for a hydrated, glowy finish and vitamin E to help block environmental aggressors *A lotion texture that goes on like a moisturizer, and finishes like a lightweight liquid foundation. Overall: Had this lasted a little longer, I would have rated it 5 stars. I started to notice some breaking up after about 5/6 hours, which was easily negated with some touch ups. I love the fresh and skin like finish I achieved with this foundation while still covering up the stray blemish or dark circle. I wouldn't reccomend this for anyone looking for a medium or full coverage foundation but it's definitely worth purchasing for light coverage or natural days. I will be purchasing a few of these to have on hand.

This is clearly advertised as a lightweight coverage foundation so I was expecting it. But I’ve tried tinted moisturizers and BB creams with way more coverage. Also: this product only comes with .75 ounces as opposed to the usual 1 ounce in a foundation. I have literally used almost half the bottle by wearing this foundation 3 times by trying to build it up to the coverage I want. I also had to mix it in with some concealer to even attempt to cover some very minor acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. However when I built it up to the right coverage: this foundation was absolutely gorgeous. It is also long wearing. Oddly enough, it applied best with a beauty sponge and building the coverage up by stamping it into place as opposed to brushes or hands which is never the case with such light coverage foundations. The only foundation brush I have on hand right now however is angled, so perhaps it was just the wrong kind of brush. Finally, the shade range is in all VERY disappointing. I don’t typically have a problem finding my shade as a medium to tan gal. But there is not a single warm undertone tan shade that would’ve worked for me. The “natural tan” shade had a far too rosy undertone for me. I seriously think revlon should’ve waited to release this foundation if they weren’t able to match the shades that are available in their original formula. It also must be noted that this product oxidizes like crazy as seen by some of these photos. The first picture is after it oxidized, and the second is before. The photos were taken less than two minutes apart. Overall, I was able to get a beautiful result with this product, but it just simply isn’t for me due to the low coverage and the absolutely small shade range.

A good medium coverage foundation

First impression - the package is bit smaller - about 30% smaller than usual foundation packs but looking at the creamy consistency that spreads easily like a face cream, it will probably last a long time. I love that it's a soft tube that can easily stay in your carry along make-up kit and the pump dispenser makes it even more user friendly. The product doesn't have any particular fragrance which is another plus point in my book.Using it - I have been playing around with this for a few days now and having tried all three methods of application - sponge, brush and fingers - brush definitely works better than the other two. (yes, I had applied a nourishing face cream before getting started with foundation)If you're in a rush and have to apply with fingers, it will do but might not get a good finish.For those who like lighter coverage, go with the sponge though. I honestly, go with a forth option - mix it with face oil or face cream and apply with brush - because I like very very light and dewy looking coverage.On it's own, this foundation provides a matte satin finish without any setting powder. Really, just give it a minute to dry up and no setting powder required. I wouldn't recommend going for a high coverage because not only this tiny tube will run out very quickly, it will also starts creasing in some places after few hours.Best worn as light or medium coverage, this foundation really can last whole day. It is also great at shine control and reflecting light - which I guess is what they mean by photo-ready. Although, I wouldn't be taking close up portraits with this (yup, I'm a photographer) as it weirdly highlights all the little bumps that you'd like to hide. But, having said that, it does work great with selfies on phone.Even though my selected tone - natural beige - turned out to be lighter and cooler than I expected, I wasn't disappointed at how it looked after application - this creamy fluid blends really well. Which makes me wonder why they have 16 shades. I personally find it bit too much and rather confusing. But if I had to buy it again, I'd probably go for Sun beige or macadamia or may be honey beige (you see what I mean. My skin tone is medium wheatish Indian)Overall, probably not my kind but still decent product for those like to wear light make-up everyday that would last long.

Love this stuff!

This is a pretty, light coverage foundation that is easy to use, blends well and lasts all day. For being “glowy” it isn’t too extreme. The difference between this and the other Candid foundation is this one is much lighter coverage with a slightly dewy finish; the regular Candid one has much more coverage and more of a satin/matte finish. I love both but this one is a little easier to use because it doesn’t have to match your skin tone and undertone exactly. If you have dry skin this one will probably work best; oily skin, try the regular Candid foundation. I will cry if this ever gets discontinued. Also I bought this with my own money.

My new favourite

I have tried what feels like hundreds of foundations, some are good but none that I go to day after day. This is just amazing. One of the most affordable too. I blend with fingertips, one pump is enough for my entire face, and it’s just flawless. Looks just like healthy skin and The colour match is perfect too. This fades very gracefully after many hours of wear (where I live is very humid and hot) and doesn’t go patchy or rub off even with a mask on and off all day. I just love it.
