I actually ordered the battery operated camera, but received the powered/corded version, so returned it. Either way my major comment is related to both the corded and
batter powered cameras. My biggest complaint with the Stick Up Cam, is that if you want to mount the camera to a ceiling, you must purchase separately the mounting
hardware. If the camera is mounted upside down, there is no way to rotate the image/video on the settings, so your images and video are upside down. While the product
description indicates that ceiling mounting requires separate hardware, it does not explain why the hardware is required; i.e. not for the purpose of mounting to ... Show more

I loved this camera when I got it a few months ago. It had a nice clear picture and it was so handy to have in my garage so I could keep an eye on the friendly feral cats I feed
(and TNR etc.). I feel like the video quality became less and less over time and then what appeared to be a cobweb suddenly somewhat obstructed my vision. I tried to wipe it
off but now it is so much worse than with the web. The picture is extremely pixelated if it even works at all. After taking tons of time reading through their community forum

Bought this prior to Christmas as an extra for my current security system (hardwired 240V) to fill a blind spot.Camera quality is great and on par with my ~ $600 units.Battery
life is great, just tune your settings and don't be stupid and sit on Live View for 30 minutes at a time, it's not designed for that.In 1 month I have used 10% battery power with
multiple events per day (watching front yard and front door) so packages and people are common every couple hours.Easy to setup and comes with some self tappers and
anchors for brick too. 5 minute install. If you're planning on mounting to a roof you will need a separate mount which you can order from ring/Amazon for cheap.... Show more

I’m assuming that’s mainly for a cloudy lens cap from oxidation from being outside though. Mine has never been outside at all so that is not the issue. I still gave 5 stars because it originally was great and I’m hoping I can figure out a replacement lens cap or something so I don’t have to change my rating. There isn’t one available anywhere that i can find, though. You’d think if it could be out in the cold and wind and snow and rain that a spiderweb could be cleaned off with next to no problem. I would highly recommend never trying to clean anything off of the lens cover and probably place it in a clear weatherproof box if you are going to keep it outside (and also inside, apparently). Also, you must pay a monthly fee if you would like to see anything other than the current live feed, just fyi- I’m pretty sure there’s something similar with most home monitoring systems though.... Purchase the protection plan
25 May 2024
I purchased a Ring Stick Up Cam about 6 months ago. Recently it didn't work so I called customer service and spoke with a tech, she walked me through the setup instructions that I had already tried on Rings website. This didn't work. She then told me to try another cellphone again this didn't work, she then asked me to try a 3rd cellphone ( I'm serious) . I then asked her if she would replace the item as to which I was told to return it to Lowes. But I was over there return time policy. I spoke with my neighbor and he told me that even though he purchased his cameras at Lowe's, Ring replaced 9 of his. So I contacted Ring again and told a rep about this and was told Ring no longer does this. My neighbor had 9 replaced, that's not quality in my opinion. And to be specific, this is no reflection on Lowes whatsoever, Lowes is one of the best of the best.... Show more

[Rewarded Review] A very high quality camera!
8 February 2024
I really like that the stick up cam looks modern and stylish and doesn't look out-of-place in the living room. We set it up in our living room where we can see our pets while we are out. The camera function is extremely clear and high quality, and so is the audio function. The audio function is very high quality as well. It literally sounds like I'm standing in the next room. I also really like the fact that the battery is removable and easily charged with a USB cord instead of having regular batteries or being hard-wired to the house's power. I am not very tech-savy, but I was able to download the ring ap and get the camera up and running in under 15 minutes. The program guides you through set-up and makes the whole process very easy. [Rewarded Review] Not pleased, I’d look into Wyze cameras
3 December 2024
The view quality and connection leave much to be desired. From my experience, I purchased five of these and regret not returning them. The only product I found worthwhile was the Ring Doorbell, as it maintains a strong connection even when your WiFi is at a distance with clear picture and audio . As for the stick-up cameras, I don’t see much purpose in them. The picture quality is subpar, and they essentially need to be positioned very close to your WiFi router to function properly. My experience lead me to a brand called Wyze. Which has great maneuverability and is really cost effective. Picture quality is decent as well sometimes equal to or better than the ring stick up. That’s from my personal experience and my own personal opinion.... Show more

[Rewarded Review] Outdoor WiFi Pet Camara - Versatile, Easy to use
6 March 2024
This is our first Ring product. We've been using the Ring Stick Up Wifi Pet Camara for about a month and couldn't be happier with it. Currently we are using this indoors to monitor our pets and home when we are away. The Camara's design is sleek and contemporary looking and is small enough to not be obtrusive. The directions are well written and we found it very easy to set up and use. There are options included for a couple of different mounting options. Because of the product's versatility and image clarity, we have decided to purchase a multipack as I manage a small feral cat colony at a location other than our home. Hello Bestbuy,I recently bought this ring camera at the Augusta maine location. I was drawn to it because my mother had bought one at the lowes in auburn maine. I hooked hers up in her house, and also shared it to my phone just incase hecause the primary reason was to keep an eye on the house of course but also our dog, and my dad not to like make him feel smothered just to make sure he's okay ( 84 in july). I also have purchased dash cams for my truck just because of crime rates increasing but i wanted something that i could get notified with a live viewing if my truck was being messed with ( I could call 911 asap, catch burglar in the act). My mom's is the older version ( white/indoor or outdoor) we love it! I bought these to replace my blink cameras because they don’t record 24/7 which is what I wanted. Unfortunately, I was unaware that these needed to be wired to be able to have access to that feature and I can’t wire them on my front porch. Also, I put them in the exact spots that my blink cameras were in and the one on my back deck says the connection could be improved. How is it possible that my blink cameras had zero problem with the connection and these ones do being in the same spot? And, they did not detect any motion at all. I had the settings set to frequently detect motion. It wouldn’t even detect my golden retriever on my back deck right in front of the camera. Unfortunately I am returning these and just going to stick with my blink cameras that work much ... MoreI bought these to replace my blink cameras because they don’t record 24/7 which is what I wanted. I was very excited with the anticipation of receiving this product and it did not disappoint. I already have the doorbell ring, so this was the perfect compliment to that system. I have one small pittbull/poodle mix on a GPS collar and 3.5 acres, plus a handful of sheep and goats out back. My young child likes to play on the swingset and always brings the dog out with her. With the outdoor ring, I have the capability to check on them at any time and still see any visitors to the sheep and goat pen. With the option to adjust the area of the shot where movement triggers a notification, I can include any approach to the sheep and goat pen as a trigger, but not the pen itself where those guys are moving around all day and night.I also love the feature where I can have ... MoreI was very excited with the anticipation of receiving this product and it did not disappoint.
