Awesome addition to my vlogging setup

I have a very basic setup but this mic enhances it 100 fold. It has clear sound when paired with my Sony ZV1. Battery life is really good for my needs. The twist on wind screen is much better than the previous version. I will say it picks up sound really well. I got ambient conversations picked up by the mic so be aware of the placement. Definitely worth every penny.

I have the stereo channel version of the wireless go II for my sony A7IV and wanted to get the single channel version for my Gopro Hero 10, unfortunately this one had a defect with the Mic jack. There was alot of ground noise interference whenever i would connect a Lavalier go mic to it. As soon as i disconnect the mic the wireless go II Transmitter sounded fine. I have 3 Lavalier go mics and all 3 of them did that ground noise. I then tested out my stereo version with rhe two Transmitters and 1 receiver and those worked perfectly with rhw Lavalier go mics connected so i had to return it. I ended up picking up the original Wireless go and that workes exactly as described with the same Lavalier go mics i tried on this model. Good quality wireless mic

I bought the single transmitter without the lavalier mic, only because I didn't want to spend the extra money on the lavalier or the 2nd transmitter. Now I wish I had. They appear to be high quality and my remote Zoom attendees tell me that the sound quality is great. The gain control really helped me get the best sound quality. Another thing I liked was that it was very, very easy to find in-depth guides on YouTube for this popular product.

Great Sound, BUT...
4 March 2023

I'm using this with a Gopro Hero 9 (w/ media mod), and works well for what I'm using it for. Clear sound, good wind screens, Long lasting battery/fast charging, BUT... when I edit the footage/sound, it seems to ONLY record audio in MONO. I've tried merging audio on the device and software, but still only get most audio out of left ear. Of course I can EASILY fix it in the editing software by duplicating the track and have separate Left and Right channels. Not sure if its because I got the version that only comes with one Mic? (I only needed one receiver and mic) very EZ fix, and still worth the hassle since it sounds really good.

Great Wireless Transmitter/Receiver, OK Lav Mic
16 March 2022

I love the wireless GO II receiver/transmitter setup. Very compact and lightweight and it just works with minimal fuss. My only complaint is that the included compact lav mic combined with this unit provides just OK sound in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it sounds better than a cheap USB lav mic by a longshot and I like that you can plug directly into USB or a camera mic port. But if you're looking for a cost-efficient way of capturing wireless audio for indoor video, I'd really only use it for mobile shooting where I'm walking around and need consistent audio. A lot of my indoor shooting is interview-style set in one place and the sound I get from the $250 Rode VideoMic NTG is just better in that scenario (I know it's obviously a different type of mic but the ... MoreI love the wireless GO II receiver/transmitter setup. However it's never bad to have a good wireless option in your mic arsenal. I might try pairing it with Rode's higher-end lav mic to see if that improves the sound at all.

Great quality for the price
17 May 2022

I am generally new to buying tech and audio equipment, I just got my first job in creating videos and I needed a wireless lavalier to use. I actually bought another lav mic separately to purchase with this that worked really well with the rode wireless go 2. I have used just the actual mic that comes attached on the system and it is really good as well. I highly recommend this product!

Love the little mics!
9 September 2022

This is the second set I purchased of this mic, and I’m very happy with this brand. These are directional though, so if it was tilted away from someone’s mouth, you could have sound issues. But the quality of the sound and the fact that it’s wireless really appealed to me. I actually don’t try to hide it under clothes either, I kind of like the design.

Nice!

Rode Wireless GO2 systems are a good size for today's ever shrinking available real estate on cameras. They sound good. The included lavaliere mic is comparable to other mics in it's class. Setup of the units is fairly easy .. you do have to go to rode.com to really access the finer parameters of the receiver. Being a pro sound recordist I have crucial interest on how wireless performs. I do and probably always will base my career on Lectrosonics they are rock solid performers day after day, year after year and deliver great range and sound. I bought the Rode Wireless GO2 system for DSLR clients and also as a quick and easy mostly foolproof wireless system to hand off to a Producer/Correspondent team, if they need to splinter off without me and the main camera ... MoreRode Wireless GO2 systems are a good size for today's ever shrinking available real estate on cameras. I bought the Rode Wireless GO2 system for DSLR clients and also as a quick and easy mostly foolproof wireless system to hand off to a Producer/Correspondent team, if they need to splinter off without me and the main camera person I am working with. Having the ability to seamlessly change frequencies and record audio @the receiver is a huge confidence factor when handing something off to someone who has limited tech knowledge of audio. I have not yet tried the range of these, I will post back when I do. Would I use the R0de Wireless GO2 system for a live shot or to follow a high profile celebrity or politician for news coverage for major network clients? Not a chance. I want to work for them again. A Producer needs a simple to use wireless system to shoot standups with a correspondent and man on street interviews why not? They did not want to spend the extra time and dough on including me, I give them an option that should deliver. Are you an event videographer/low budget corporate /commerical /doc shooter and can't afford me? This could be a viable option.

Not really sure
21 July 2022

Not yet sure how I like this product as it did not come with the cables to allow us to try it out. Still purchasing cables, several so far, and still unable to make it function. need to purchase yet other cables to see if we can even get to the point of being able to test it. I'd say, buyer beware if you are using an Iphone as your primary recording and video device. You will need more than you think to make it work and R0de does not supply them or have them in stock. Good luck.

Simple, Clear, Easy
3 January 2023

I'm impressed with the simplicity as well as the quality of the RODE GO II. I do wish that the transmitter was a little smaller as it tends to weigh down my collar some. Overall I give this a five out of five stars and would recommend to anyone who needs a wireless mic. The ability to USB to a computer, bypassing computer sound cards is a BIG bonus in my mind.
