For the TR-08, Roland modeled the legendary TR-808 down to the component level using Roland's proprietary Analog Circuit Behavior technology. The original TR-808 is an absolute classic, but its limited feature set restricts its user - especially for producing modern music. The TR-08 extends the performance of the original with practical, modern touches. An LED display provides fine control over tempo and shuffle. Also on board: compression, gain, tune and pan for selected instruments. Parts can be programmed or typed in step-by-step in real time without changing modes. And a Midi input and output is also not to be found on the original.
