This is my favorite electronic kit I’ve ever owned. The pads are decent, but the module is the star of the kit. It’s extremely easy to dial in whatever sound you want using any of the samples on any of the kits. Everything from transient control to overhead mic sound to ambience options. Not to mention the module has a very straightforward Bluetooth playback option that comes in handy more often than I thought it would. I use it for quiet practice and the occasional thrash session, and it’s excellent for both.The major con are cymbal pads durability (I don’t hit very hard and the ride cymbal is already mistriggering and has decreased sensitivity only two months in,) but for how little this kit goes for, they had to cut costs somewhere.

we are complete beginners at drumming but we are loving it 3 weeks into ownership. went with Roland brand because of known build quality, no issues at all we are loving it. Daughter having fun practicing after her class, and i am having fun just learning with Melodics and some youtube videos on groves and fills. great stress relief from work.

Got this Roland kit for my wife who has been drumming for 20 years or so but needs a way to practice as we can’t get the acoustic kit setup in our house at the moment with young children around. The quality is great, the drums feel real and react nicely to stick attach etc. In built sounds are fantastic , and all the extra features are spot on. For the money this is a serious bit of kit. Volume wise, it’s ALMOST silent. We can happily play as late as we want with a sleeping child in the room above. PMT great as always and speedy delivery!
I'm not the drummer, but through the Roland headphone we bought with this, the kit sounds absolutely unreal, it sounds awesome and my son loves the kit. From a parents perspective, now he's on an electric rather than acoustic it's nice being able to have a conversation in the house without shouting when he's playing. The quality of the kit is great too, a very solid, sturdy kit and really easy to set up. Nothing negative to report.
After having this for a couple of weeks it's been great.I was a bit dubious about the drum sounds the module would produce but I was wrong and they are excellent and very varied too. I've even found myself enjoying using the 808 and 909 more than I thought I would.It's a great bit of kit, well made and the features have been well thought out. Bluetooth-ing my phone to the module means playing along to my favourite tracks is a breeze.
