Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Dog Renal Wet Food 410g x 12
ROYAL CANIN Renal is scientifically formulated to support renal function in cases of chronic kidney disease. Renal diets are recommended as soon as creatinine goes out of reference range (from CKD late stage 2), before the disease further progresses, and before inappetence develops. In case of food aversion, the dog can be switched to another renal option without transition. Renal diets may be continued for the dog’s lifetime. Initially feed Renal for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency. It is recommended that a full health check be performed every 6 months. Renal diets are recommended in cases of proteinuria, and once creatinine levels elevate past reference ranges in cases of nonproteinuric CKD, before inappetence develops. In case of food aversion, the dog can be switched to another renal option without transition. Royal Canin therapeutic veterinary diets are carefully formulated and strictly recommended to be used only under the advice of your veterinarian. OnlineVetStore and Royal Canin strongly recommend you seek advice from your veterinarian prior to and during feeding this product to your pet and that you take your pet to your vet regularly (every six months). Royal Canin takes pride in ensuring the scientific reliability of all product information. The information in this product listing was true and accurate at the time of publication.

Ziggy the Cavoodle is 2.5y. He's recently been diagnosed with Renal Dysplasia. From a litter of 6 (all boys), 2 have died, 2 (including Ziggy) have RD, one definitely doesn't have it and one we don't know about. The other one that has it belongs to our daughter. He was diagnosed much earlier - like 6 months of age.Ziggy loves this stuff. He's definitely struggling with the no meat diet but this stuff seems to be the highlight of his daily diet. Dogs can only eat so many carrots and so much broccoli.

My 13 1/2 yo dog has vet diagnosed chronic kidney failure so getting him onto a speciality diet was a non-negotiable. Thankfully petcircle has a cheaper price point on this product than direct from the vet.Royal Canin do a money back option in case you dog doesn't take to the food. We were lucky, Shadow loves it.

The royal canin renal dog food tins form "vets love lets" are the cheapest I've found online. Great quality, fair price.Customer service is also great, had an issue when I first joined but it was resolved promptly.I will continue to buy from vets love pets. Thanks guys!
Back in February my ten year old retired greyhound Vader was losing weight and generally not as active as he had been. Blood tests showed he was in early stage renal failure. My vet recommended t that I change his dog food to a low protein one. I had no problem changing to the Royal Canine renal diet. He enjoys every mouthful. He has stopped losing weight and his last blood test was normal. I am aware that he is likely to get worse in the future and may need more treatment but at the moment he is fit and well. I am pleased that I will have my lovely greyhound a little while longer. Thank you and your service is great too. Never failed to be delivered when you say it will be.Sue and Vader.
Unfortunately my dog won't eat it. Even though she has a ravenous appetite and loves her food, once she had to go on the renal diet meant flavourless unappealing food so she refuses to eat unless I hand feed her which she does reluctantly and only because I keep insisting. More needs to be done in making it more palatable if its a diet required food. :(
My very fussy 14 year old border terrier took to this immediately and has continued to enjoy it.I also use the kibble version of this.Huge difference in her behaviour as she’s not asking to go out several times in the night.A small but important thing is that unlike other pouches it’s very easy to get all the food out!Now they just need to make them recyclable!
Our HK mongrel was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease a year ago and had been given Hills K/D dry and wet food. She never liked it but it was the only food her former vet knew to give (via the SPCA) but we persevered until we found this food through our new vet. Needless to say, it has been a game changer. She eats up well and we can even put her dietary supplements in her food without any fuss. We are forever grateful to have been steered to this line by Royal Canine!
upon our vets recommendation after our maltese shitzuwas diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease this food is helping manage his condition. Pet circle has been excellent in supplying this product. Have been ordering it for over 20 months
Our dog finds it tasty and enjoys it at room temp. After it has been refrigerated, she is not as keen. The texture is great for a dog with bad teeth, and she is able to manage it well.
