Vet recommended this and yes I agree with the other reviewer that it doesn't look appetising (like window putty!) but he absolutely loves the stuff! Feeding him exclusively on this and the dry hypoallergenic and anallergenic kibble (which can be used as treats) quickly resolved my dog's ongoing sensitive tummy. The vet explained that hydrolyzed protein which is properly hypoallergenic is only made by this brand and one other (hydrolyzed is protein specially treated so that the protein molecules are tiny and can be digested by dogs who are otherwise sensitive to other proteins... something like that!). Some other brands just label their products as hypoallergenic but have just used a recipe which cuts out common allergens so not quite the same and may or may not work ... My mum has just bought this food for me as I keep getting an upset tummy and pooping everywhere. I am a Boxer and I have breed specific colitis. This is helping settle my tummy. I can't wait for my food to be put down for me . And I come back and lick the bowl to check I haven't missed any . It's a yes from me . Rocky

Our allergic dog has been on this food since he was a puppy and it's the absolute best! If we've ever run out and had to use anything else his allergies flare up. This food definitely keeps things in check and keeps our pup happy! Worth the price because it also lasts a really long time given the high quality of Royal Canin's ingredients and nutrients.

This dog food was recommended by the vet as 2 of our dogs have very sensitive stomachs. Our eldest has had colitis since he was a puppy so he has to have a very strict diet and this does the job of keeping him well. He needs a low protein diet and this food provides that, it's also low fat which suits our youngest dogs needs.
This good is brilliant. After a few years of trying different dog foods that hopefully suited my dog I was told to try Royal Canin by my vet. After several weeks on this he is a different dog...no chewing feet and vigorously scratching at the back of his ears. Happy Dog. 😊
Miracle cure! My poor boy has suffered with severe digestive (and other allergy-related) problems since he was a puppy. Tried him on just about every diet going (other sensitive and hypoallergenic ranges, raw, grain-free, home-cooked, etc.) and nothing worked. The vet eventually suggested we try this and within a few days his digestive issues settled down dramatically. He's been on this food for almost 2 years now and, although he's still sick on occasion, he is 100% better than he was before. It seems as if my little pooch is unable to digest protein properly (hence some of the other hypo and bland diets not working) so it's really the hydrolysed protein in this that makes it work for him. Unfortunately the wet, canned version of this doesn't agree with him but ... MoreMiracle cure! Unfortunately the wet, canned version of this doesn't agree with him but I've tried him on other dry hydrolysed treats (Specific Hypoallergenic Treats CT-HY Dog Food-5) and he seems to tolerate those OK too. P.S. Just be aware it can make the poop a horrible yellow colour - but apparently that's nothing to worry about!
I purchased Royal Canine Hypoallergenic feed for my Border Terrier with severe allaergy problems. It worked 100%. This was recomended by her new Vet.She had 2 miserable years before we found the correct cure. She is now 3 years old and a very happy and active little girl THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.
Unfortunately this made my dog break out in hives + pussy bumps. We suspect she has an allergy to chicken which is in this wet food so be sure to double check ingredients before buying. I thought this food was formulated to “hide” the protein spikes from an animals immune system, hence it being hypoallergenic but this product just didn’t work. The biscuits are a hit though!
