Very pretty set. Love the bowls they are deep and the coffee cups are a good size. Plates are large and dinner salad plate is big enough for a dinner plate. Ordered 2 sets one large dish was broken upon opening. They want the whole set shipped back for the one plate so i took the loss.

The dinner plates are too large making them difficult to load into the dishwasher.We are trying to use the salad plates as our primary played, but they ate a little too small to serve as dinner plates.Also I would like to be able to order more salad plates separately , not as part of a sixteen piece set. Very frustrating that I can not.

The dinner plates in the Royal Doulton Pacific 16 piece Dinner Set are much larger than I had expected and do not fit into the dishwasher. I still love the design but am disappointed.

I absolutely love these high quality porcelain dishes! The dinner plates are hugh in comparison to other dish sets. I bought the Pacific Dots serving tray to compliment these dishes. They look great together!
Love this set. Nice weight - not too heavy. Clean, simple design. Plates (both sizes) are on the large size, so we often use the "salad" plate for dinner. Soup bowls nice and deep, so they retain heat. One dish was broken on our second set - returned and was replaced by Target (had to return the entire set, though). I am thinking of buying a 3rd set so I'll have 12.
Quality dinner set that functions from day to night. Looks spectacular with Ellen DeGeneres side plates. Pleased to be able to serve Christmas lunch on these pieces.
It is a lovely set, however, the plates are quite large. I had to have a bit of a move around in my cupboard and adjust the dishwasher rack! However, they are too large for my microwave (I purposely bought a small microwave - it was sensible at the time) so any leftovers will need to be heated on a small plate and transferred.
We absolutely love this set. Beautiful quality. The cups are a great size for coffee.The only slight annoyance is the small plate is a bit too big.
This china set is playful and sophisticated. We love the elegance of the white with blue stripes and the pattern is versatile for our tablescapes as well. We would go so far as to purchase more for another residence. You can't beat Royal Doulton's quality. Also the sizes of plates, bowls and mugs are quite ample. In terms of service, one bowl arrived broken. The vendor kindly sent us a replacement set right away, no questions asked. (We did submit a few photos to verify this.) This impressed us and increases our loyalty to Overstock.com.
The pictures showed the plates to be white. When they arrived they were a yellowish color. In addition the quality was terrible. They were too thick.I had a set of Royal Doulton which I purchased 19 years ago. The plates the company is selling today is a poor imitation. Also, I mailed them back immediately. It cost me over $150! Royal Doulton does not cover return postage.
