Neither of these caused a problem for me and I particularly love the large lid, allowing good access to the tap and large spout, along with an easy clean filter!

The Addison Stainless Steel Digital Kettle THK510 from Russel Hobbs. Was a great online purchase for us. It looks and works exactly the same as the really expensive competitors brand. it boils fast and it's quiet. We love the Digital Temperature selection. I am so happy that at the press of a button, I have finally found the perfect and a safe temperature to fill my hot water bottle to enjoy on these cold winter nights.

We love this kettle. I got it for my wife for Christmas to replace our old standard kettle which was no longer switching off. She likes her plunger coffee and herbal teas that need to be brewed at the correct temperatures and this kettle does the job absolutely consistently. My normal black tea tastes noticeably better due to the consistent temperature. It boils quickly and produces the average noise level. You cant boil water quietly anyway in my experience. It looks very stylish and is well made. It pours very well and the handle is well balanced and easy to hold. Having the level indicator on the side is much better than a certain brand that has it behind the handle. The buttons are nice to use and the blue lights give a visual indication of whats happening.
