I've had this machine for about a year. It's quite powerful and handles well. However the design of this mixer is awful. The air intake is at the front of the product and is near impossible to clean. Cake batter and flour gets stuck in the grill and is inaccessible in the rebate of the grill. I now loathe using it as it smells so "funky" when it's used. Something I wish I considered before purchasing.

The Desire Hand Mixer has been a welcome addition to our kitchen. It's perfect for quick mixing and whisking. It's light and easy to use, and stores conveniently. We couldn't be happier with it and have been impressed with the ( delicious ) results. I highly recommend it.

Not recommended at all. The mixer eo so extremley loud we couldn't talk or hear others in the room. Whisks are so small that it takes double the time of a usual hand mixer to beat the eggwhites. Returning this product.

I bought this on a whim as I still have a hand mixer but it's getting to an ancient old age now so time to have a new one I thought! I was pleasantly surprised with this one....it does a good job and I have no regrets. I did read a few negative reviews but on operation I have found them not to be so! One said the flour and stuff gets sucked up into the motor...well....I can't see that happening unless it's held at a really peculiar angle! Another said it was too fast on the lowest setting....this one I kind of agree with but if you know it's going to go fast out of the gate you can adjust yourself accordingly and not have a tornado of flour dust in the kitchen...It is strong and looks to be well made...I am happy with it. The kids love it and it's light enough for them to use (which I'd thought about when chosing). It has plenty of power and it looks good in black, which matches our kitchen benchtops.It has 5 power levels and comes with separate Whisking and Hook sets (the latter for heavier dough I've learned). So, this is my introduction to kitchen mixing and I'm happy.Cord is a good length and it has a two year warranty. Good choice!

The Hand mixer was very easy to use, not to heavy. It mixed soften butter throughout the mixture extremely well. Even the kids love using it every Sunday morning to make pancakes.
I bought this item yesterday primarily for making pancake mixture. Problem one, the first speed is much too fast, flour and milk was blown everywhere. Secondly, the whisks are so thin they do not blend the mixture, could not remove the lumps. This item does not compare with my old "Sunbeam" of 50 years!!!!
