Russell Hobbs Salt & Pepper Mills

I was extremely disappointed with this salt and pepper purchase. After adding the salt and pepper I could not reconnect the parts so I could use them.I wish to return the purchase and obtain a refund. I would not recommend purchasing due to the quality of the units.I bought my original units many years ago and they worked perfectly and were easy to refill. I only needed to purchase a new set as a result of losing a part when refilling one of the grinders.

Easy salt and pepper dispenser

These matching units are elegant and modern. They fit with our stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and look good on the dining table. Load it up with batteries and salt and pepper and they're ready for use. These dispensers have place holders to sit on when not being used. Keeps the table and bench surface free of excess grains and keeps the bottom of the dispensers off a potentially unclean surface. The salt and pepper reservoirs are a little on the skimpy size, but will last with constant use for a couple of months. We can recommend these dispensers.

Good Product

The grinders work well. The only thing is the grinding settings could be finer. Found them still too course. Plus too much salt pepper comes out in one press. Need to be careful. Otherwise they are stylish and easy to use.

Grinders on Roids

Great Grinders. The salt and pepper come out with force. Shorter extraction longer battery life. The salt and pepper also come out really fine which we like. Good design and I like the bases that aren't stuck to the bottom, they are more like sitting in their own dish.

It works! And adds a bit of excitement, as well as being reliable.

It has immediately replaced all salt and pepper shakers in the house. Why would we go ack to the branded products, when these are so reliable, elegant looking....and they add a bit of excitement! The salt comes out quicker than expected (I loaded Himalayan salt crystals), so I have had to modulate my finger pressure on the salt button, and now all is good. The pepper delivery is just a dream.A great buy.

Nice design, poor manufacturing

I have bought the same brand years ago without any problems. Bought a new set before Christmas and one mill stopped working after 3 weeks. Disappointed, Brought them back and received a new set. These also faulted after one week. So disappointing. Returned them for a refund this time. Not sure if it’s a bad batch or that the quality control went out the window after Covid struck and companies are cutting corners but I won’t be buying this brand of salt and pepper mills again.

Simply The Best

These Russell Hobbs grinders have been my constant go to since 2013. They sit nicely in your hands, can be used with little effort (great for kids,elderly or disabilities), has variable grind options, and I love the light feature. It comes with base holders to prevent excess salt and pepper in your pantry. We have one shaker still in use from old set which we will use for vanilla and/or cinnamon. We have just bought another set and look forward to another 8 or so years. These are well priced and can be bought with concierge vouchers.

Sleek and functional Design

Bought one set of these salt and pepper mills months ago and really liked they way the function. A pity the internal mechanism are not made well to last. They were returned a couple of months later because one mill would not work despite changing battery and trying everything to make it work again. They were replaced with another set which failed after one week. I can only say that the internal mechanisms must be cheaply made. I will never buy another set of these again.

THEY DO THE JOB

This is the fourth set of these mills we have purchased. They work very well when new, but somewhat too early in their lives the screw system for the filler section becomes worn and they will no longer screw together. Putting them back together after filling is made more difficult because the symbols to align the two sections when open and closed, become too pale to see. Possibly this is what leads to the wear on the junction. That aside, they are excellent before that problem occurs.

Waste of money!

Honestly the absolute biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. Coming from South Africa where Russell Hobbs is seen as a luxury brand I cannot describe how utterly disappointed I am in these. They literally work once in a blue moon, change the batteries no difference made. My mother in laws cheap $5 electric ones work better, what a rip off! I would give it a zero but I can’t so I give it a one.
