Received the mower in a timely manner. Everything works as it should. Just a little bit of a learning curve for me and working around the cord. It's a push mower and not self propelled, but it's so lightweight, I usually push it with one hand and hang on to the cord with the other. I mainly like it because I don't have to deal with lawnmower oil and having to gas up every time as well as if the carb gets flooded, you have to wait about 20 minutes to cool down and hopefully try again. With this mower, you just hit the button, grab the bar and you're on your way. Very easy to maneuver around especially with the large rear wheels. I would definately recommend this mower as long as you know how to deal with the power cord.

Our yard is small and it takes us charging the battery three times to cut it. Each time re-charging is about 1-2 hours. We bought this to try to make mowing easier compared to our manual push mower, but the ryobi is more of a hassle. We tried to buy additional batteries, but same thing; battery dies within 20 minutes. Also, after $250 for the mower plus $200 for additional batteries, this isn’t a good deal. We do cut twice a week, when it’s dry and raised the blade level. Still bad.

The only reason I keep buying it is that the price of having someone mow a small yard today is about the same as the price of this mower. I don't understand why they can't up the quality on this thing so it would last a few years at least. When they break I give them away to people who know how to fix them. This was my first run with the mower. After a relatively simple assembly... (they never a really without hitches)... I put the battery on charge. A while later, the battery still hadn't fully charged, so I grabbed a 6 amp Ryobi battery from another tool, and put in on the lawn mower. The mower started easily and I went to work. To be honest, at first I though "uh-oh." as it seemed la bit like a toy, but the more grass I cut, the more I realized the mower was doing exactly what the ad claimed it could do: I was cutting through a bit overgrown section of my property that my lawn tractor can't get it to do. The grass in the approximately 30' x 15' patch, with a little hill in the back, is now neat; the area looks clean. The only thing left is to get out my Ryobi string ... And as I have a veritable phalanx of Ryobi One+ tools and multiple chargers and spare batteries I could probably mow my mom's big lawn with this and my batteries if I ever needed to, but I'd stick to hers as the wider cutting blade means fewer passes but unless this dies unexpectedly early, I consider my money well spent so far.And maybe I'll use the 1.5Ah battery that came with the first Ryobi One+ drill I bought, to cut down on the weight even further as like I mentioned earlier, the 4Ah battery it comes with is overkill for a lawn (can I even call it that?) of the size I have, but for urban dwellers or those with smaller areas of grass to mow, this mower brings the power of the regular size Ryobi mowers in smaller, lighter, and less expensive package. For the win.And I've actually gone ahead and ordered spare blades for it in case the 13" product line is discontinued (it's not a standard size) and replacement parts become unavailable as I did replace the blade on my mom's Ryobi mower after two seasons of use on her big lawn. I could have just had it sharpened, but after calling around to a few lawn mower shops the price for a professional sharpening was the about the same as a new blade (about $13) so a no-brainer there. I like this product that much, and expect to be using it for years to come, that I'm stocking up on spare parts!
Easy start, no more pulling your rotator cuff yanking the starter string. However, it barely holds a charge for more than 15-20 minutes of straight mow time. Takes a long time to recharge. Can't cut thick clumps of grass (regardless of length) and can't cut grass that has grown for two weeks+. This mower is perfect for those cookie-cutter tiny subdivision yards with a HOA. Anywhere else, you'll be better off just getting the traditional gas push mower.
Very pleased with this mower. Small grass area 20x20 for my dogs. I originally purchased a weed wacker mower because my dogs go ballistic with the gardener, great concept, but poor performance. Wanted something smaller, easier to store. Saw this one, size perfect, folds up, but you have to unscrew the sides. Actually have it leaning up on front wheels in garage, hooked to wire shelf. Easy to use, figured best height when mowing, grass catcher GREAT. Yes, I recommend!!

I have had it for about a week now and used it to mow small areas of Bermuda grass. I have mobility issues and this was lightweight (mostly plastic casing) and perfect for me and my lite yard work. In some areas it was really great and eliminated the use of a string trimmer which can be tough for me at times. It has a very easy height adjustment and it was fun establishing the height level for the different areas to be mowed. I even taped a small note of the height levels to the top of the mower for future reference. The mower is very quiet so don't expect the loud irritating noise of a gas mower. The "Some Assembly" was very easy and entailed screwing 4 hand knobs to secure the mower handle . My wife ( a boomer/senior citizen) absolutely loves this thing and said she will now assist with the yard work. The more the merrier. Ordered on-line from Home Depot and was shipped and received on the dates committed to (which was 2 days) so "Kudos" to the Home Depot team. I have 18 Ryobi tools and have never had an issue with them other than old age. I suspect the same life and reliability with this mini-mower. If you happen to mow some damp grass, make sure to wipe down the mower and as a must, clean the blade area after each mowing following the prescribed safety procedures (take out the battery and the starter key first! ). If you don't clean the blade area, the old grass will build up and limit the effectiveness of this tool. Take care of this tool and it should last a long time. It definitely met all of our expectations and we highly recommend for light duty applications. And for clarity, this review is for the Ryobi One 18v 13in. I have been using a push lawn mower for years. I finally broke down and bought this cordless small battery one. I love it. It’s lightweight and I can carry it easily. I am able capture the grass cuttings from the mulch basket and add to my compost. But most important this machine cuts my lawn nice & short so my lawn looks much better. The charge is just enough to do my small lot. The larger size was too heavy for me to carry. I’m very happy with how this cuts my grass. It’s quiet too.
