This is the best glue gun I have so far. No chords in the way while working on crafting projects. The heat from the gun is so intense that I get a strong bond with any glue stick. It takes a few minutes to heat up on Startup, but once it's hot, it is good to go. I love the fact that it is portable and fairly easy to use anywhere. Just awesome is how I would describe this product. I love Ryobi.

I have bought at least 5 different types of glue guns from various shops pull in, rechargeable, hands free (AA batteries) but hands down this has to be the best hot glue gun. It keeps the heat to the heat so I can use it quickly and don’t have to wait 10 minutes for it to heat up. I owned other Ryobi thing so had batteries but would love to have a smaller one as I have the big ones.

super happy with this glue gun. im not a heavy user and this one fits my needs.#1 is portability. the switch on the side of the docking station is a plus for me. If it will take a little while for me to need to use it again, I can just switch it off but still ready when needed.Also, I have a lot of Ryobi 18V tools so batteries not a problem.

Bought it about 6 months ago. Worked great for a few glue sticks then stopped advancing the sticks when the trigger is pulled. I thought it was because I was using a non-Ryobi mini glue stick which was too small for the gun but just bought some Ryobi mini glue stick and still same problem. You have to manually push the glue stick from the back to have it advance. Then checked reviews and noticed a number of other people had the same problem. I would have expected better quality for the price.
I got this when it is on sale for $19.98.Here are some information that may be helpful and give you perspective if you are on the fence.The glue gun point downwards slightly. It is a lot less dripping that the cordless ones. It doesnt drip on my table much.It heats up quickly, like within 1 minute.It uses the big glue sticks, not the small one.Once you go cordless, you will not go back to corded glue gun.
This glue gun uses the smaller diameter gluesticks and is extremely small, light weight and more manoeuvrable than it's bigger brother or even most corded types. The heat up time is quick and works perfectly for small craft projects and to help with 3D printing mishaps. It seems to barely use any battery power at all.
Bought this for my daughter for Christmas as she has a small handmade gift business and uses a hot glue gun a lot. This product is absolutely perfect for her as she doesn’t have the worry about a cord whilst working. It is compact and light to use. One very happy daughter.
The glue gun is now my 15th Ryobi 18V battery tool. I have reached an age where dragging powercords all over the place has created a trip hazard for me. By changing to battery ooperated Ryobi tools, I now have a much safer work (hobby) space. Also when the "kids" want a job done, how easy to pick a tool and battery and go mobile. By the way, love the glue gun, very fine tip with very little mess. So easy to use.
I have the bigger version of this and really love it but I liked the idea of having a smaller version as well. Because the gun is small and light it's great for craft projects, any job where you don't need as much hot glue pouring out as well as harder to reach areas.

Being able to have it beside you while you work on different projects is awesome. It takes a few minutes to heat up, but that is to be expected. I would warn though, that this gun gets the glue very hot. I find myself toggling the power switch of and on if I am using it for extended times, in an effort to keep the glue soft, but not scalding hot. When the glue is at full temperature, it takes a while to set, and you have to hold the piece in place while it cools.
