I bought the air nailer as the one I had would no longer function and parts were not available. It performed as intended in nailing 42 x35 battens to hardwood to enable fixing of soffit sheets to previously open eaves. One minor problem was the exhaust? air blast in confined areas as the deflector is too easy to move by accident and I had air and dust blasted into my face several times

Very happy with the nail gun. Was a cheap option to build my 90 square metre deck along with garden shed and other projects. Has jammed twice with about 5000 nails through it. Could have been air pressure related though. Highly recommend!

This framing gun far exceeded my expectations. It is more powerful than I thought it was going to be.Nails through 90mm framing timber like butter.Hooked up to th Ryobi Air Compressor you can't go wrong. I wish I had bought this kit a long time ago.I fully recommend for any weekend DIY'er.

Bought this to frame the inside of a shed. So far it has been excellent. Hasn’t missed a beat. It is slightly heavy but not an issue as I have not been using it for long periods of time
This is a great unit. Learn to use it and it will see you through. It will secure a decent rooms framework made from pine joists.Remember it's a $160 framing gun. So use it in that vane.If you need something with more rigour, buy the more expensive guns.Remember, It's a Ryobi not a Dewalt, a Paslode or a Makita.Enjoy.
Have used for about a week, works adequately for my DIY needs. Firing 90mm nails perpendicular works fine and at max pressure will bury the heads beneath the surface. Firing nails at an angle, as often as not needed when framing, the heads protrude by up to 1cm. My, not too long airline, has the recommended bore with no restrictions at the fittings and despite this will not fully push nails all the way in at an angle into soft pine at any pressure. So, fit for purpose for me but not for serious DIY.
Failed after three years of use. Safety engages but gun does not fire. Would often fire two nails at the same time. I would not recommend.
I bought the Ryobi framing nailer from Bunnings about 3 years ago for a home construction project. I normally only buy high-end tools, but with Bunnings excellent warranty support decided to take a chance on the Ryobi. It has never missed a beat, and I've given it a hard life. Always kept it well lubricated and it looks like it's going to keep on going. In fact, on the strength of this experience I just picked up a Ryobi coil nailer. It's going gang-buster too. For the amount of work I give them (i.e. keen DIYer) they're both excellent tools.
Great value for money, built a timber patio with this gun, just using an old compressor and 75mm nails. Never had an issues and have used it for many projects since just to save some time and easily worth the quick set up of compressor each time
I now have three Ryobi compressed air nail guns. This one is the biggest and has quite a good amount of power. If you are nailing into old hardwood you will need to have the air pressure at the upper end of the guns range. For the price and relatively small amount of work I have to do they are the best option.
