Needed to cut existing tiles on wall. Have used an angle grinder in the past with serious over cut. The rotary tool with additional purchase of mandrel and tile cutting wheel was absolutely worth it. While the tile cutting wheel appears expensive relative to the initial tool purchase price, I can assure that it is worth it. An excellent result.

This unit works well, only down side is when using it in conjunction with the hobby station, it is difficult to depress the lock button to change the working tool.I have found, if you rotate tool to 90deg, this makes changing the working tool much easier.

I was a professional chainsaw operator for 49 years always sharpened a saw with a file but this machine just makes life so easy and time saving. Just fantastic to use.

Purchased this last year to do small jobs for hobby work which it does well. However, it isn't anywhere near as good as the Dremel when it comes down to serious hobby work or jobs that require a small tool in difficult to get at places. The Ryobi tool stalls repeatedly when attemppting to cut then resiidue from a screw, whearas the Dremel just keeps going.
Like all my Ryobi tools well designed and made, easy to use and reliable. The rotary tool has improved my detail work and made it easier. It makes the results far more professional, and saves time and energy.
Perfect little tool for those fiddly little jobs that other tools struggle get into.
My wife actually bought this. She has Oesteo in her hands and she found this tool very manageable for those hard to get into areas. Comes with a few attachments but can buy different ones as required.
