Was great to find this replacement part. Ryobi trimmer bak to new with out having to buy a whole new Ryobi Whipper Snippers/Line Trimmers.

Unlike the supposed refill for our older line trimmer,which does not work properly and constantly jams, this refill is the correct one and is excellent.I would recommend people buy the two part refill and cap.

Good quality line.. Durable Spool cap will wear if continuous contact with paths, pavers etc.. But great idea to have replacement with line spool.. Highly recommend..

Not the same tough yellow/green line as you get with the tool. This spool comes with a thinner and much softer blue line which gets tangled on the spool resulting in it failing to auto-feed and then snapping leaving you having to stop and manually feed regularly. Only buy this is if you need a replacement spool or cap as the line included is garbage.
We love our Ryobi 18V tools. When we purchased our battery operated Ryobi products a staff person from Bunnings assisted us the whole way. We thought we would just get an advance on the line for the trimmer, for when it ran out. Sadly, the package (a three pack) that the staff member suggested we get because it was a cheaper option was totally unsuitable when we needed to change it. Not the right size. I hope I can get a role of the correct size line to do the refilling myself, otherwise this spool is not at all cost effective.
The cap fits my Baumr-AG 24v SYNC battery line trimmer perfectly (I’ve had trouble sourcing the manufacturer’s replacement) and looks better quality than the original. The spool also looks to be a match. Couldn’t be happier.
The spool and cap fit easily into the line trimmer but the line repeatedly gets caught on itself inside the spool and breaks. This occurs every few minutes of use and is very annoying. I thought when I bought a new replacement spool the line would be wound correctly but this does not appear to be the case.
Have had Ryobi tools for years but I don't know why Ryobi hasn't changed its spool & cap for the better on their Whipper Snipper.As per many reviews I have the same problem with blue cord breaking & being entwined on the spool & the cap breaks too with taking it on & off so often to fix the cord. I have had to buy at least 2 caps in a matter of months.
4 yrs ago when I purchased the OLT1830 and 2 replacement spools you used to go for miles. Meanwhile the string breaks to often and the feeder keeps the string on around just 4cm which is useless. This often comes down to the plastic strings being stuck to each other, most likely a manufacturing process fault. One has take the spool out and literally rip the stuck string free. This is not a once off, I have this now continuously on every spool since maybe 3 years.
I love the replacement set of cap and spool. I was really just after the spool cover. But my Ryobi booklet didn't have just the cap replacement listed.
