Works beautifully. Made vinyl planking my whole first floor a breeze!
Unless your doing a lot of flooring, I can't see justifying this purchase. If you do, this increased productivity quit a bit. I had the saw beside hooked up to a vacuum and the debris from cutting was very minimal. So not having to step outside to cut, not having to work about dust etc in a finished home is well worth the cost.
I bought this 4 days ago. I wanted to get this to have in the room I was installing laminate. It kicks up so much dust I had to go outside to use it. I was ok with that cuz the cross cuts were quick and I was not sure how good I'd be doing rip cuts with my skill saw. However, after 2 rip cuts, probably about 10' in total between two laminate boards, the blade created so much smoke, the boards were burning. It was super dangerous. It could be due to my boards being 12mm thick. I think maybe a thinner laminate board would be fine but the dust would still be terrible.The other thing that sucks is replacement blades are online only. There is a diablo 18T blade available.
