Absolutely love the reciprocating saw. Bought the Diablo pruning blade for trimming palm trees and general tidying up the yard. Goes through golden cane palms like butter. Better than the chainsaw. Used when we were demolishing our kitchen for renos too. Great add to my Ryobi collection.

Don't consider anything else just buy Ryobi

I find the ryobi tools very good quality for there price range and continue to purchase more of there range. The only downside i have noticed is that the newer tools have problems with the older batterys. i use 5.0 ah and now probably need to upgrade to the 6.0ah as the 5.0ah seem to stall the tools. Regardless of this i would still recommend these tools to anyone.

Good Pruning Saw.

This is the best lightweight reciprocating saw in the price bracket. Have used same model significantly for pruning in the garden for two years without failure so I bought a second. Long battery life on 4.0 ah battery so very happy. Just make sure you buy a pruning saw blade if you intend to use in the yard.

Great for DIY and great price
30 May 2021

It can get hot quickly after 10 mins use. It is better than cheaper brands such as MAKO from Warehouse. It is faster and it has vibration reduction helps a lot to reduce vibration than MAKO saw. My MAKO saw heat up and died after 10 mins continue using. Reciprocation. So I bought this. Reciprocation Saw often gets hot quickly. My advice is to try to stop to cool down when the saw gets hot.

Great versatile little helper
15 February 2023

I had a bit of a hard time choosing between the different options of reciprocating saws that Ryobi has on offer but went with this one in the end as it has the best mix between price/size/weight/power for me. Had one previously for about 7 years that served me well through many demolitions for my Reno or just for the occasional pruning in the garden. Great versatile tool!

Ryobi One+ reciprocating saw cuts like butter
11 February 2023

Purchased the Ryobi reciprocating saw to handle cutting up of thick cardboard dumped by bins at apartment complexes. With online shopping on the increase a saw makes disposal easier. I have the cordless Ryobi One+ blower so the interchangeable battery is a winner.

Saw Point? No Problem!
23 September 2022

What a great tool. I bought this as a Fathers Day gift and set to work at trimming fairly thick branches in our garden. After about an hour I noticed the front claw in the garden bed. It had fallen off.So back to the garage to tighten up the holding screw, but there was nothing there.I returned to Bunnings in Joondalup where I was fortunate to meet the Ryobi rep in the workshop. Where’s the screw he asked with a grin. My question as well I said. Not a problem here’s a new saw in exchangeWhat great service; hassle free. Back to the garden and to more cutting.Moral in the tale? Make sure the claw screw is there and is tight.Thoroughly recommend this product.

Surprisingly powerful little ripper
12 October 2021

Being battery powered I did wonder if it would perform as well as a corded model. It isn't quite as powerful, but still does a really good job, and with the 5.0Ah battery, I managed to disassemble two pallets with that battery only just running out at the end. Not surprisingly, it will chew through a small battery in no time, but get a big one, and you are away. This comes with 1 basic metal and 1 basic wood blade, so buy some good quality blades, and this unit performs really well. And, with no cable to worry about, quick to use, and you can use it anywhere.

cheep. blades are realy bad
4 October 2022

i am a big supporter of Ryobi but this one is a bit disappointing. I have used it three times and knowing a lot about tools, I can guarantee the blade holder will not last for another 3 cuts! It is also very under powered. Bit disappointing unfortunately.
