The OBL1820S cordless blower is ideal for hard surface sweeping such as decks, patios and driveways. The lightweight body weighs just 1.9kg so there's less chance the blower will tire your arms out quickly - especially if you're clearing a large area of leaves and other debris.

This is my third Ryobi blower. The first lasted several years until the battery connection went highwire. I remain impressed how powerful and light this blower is. Have thought about an upgrade to the brushless but this blower has served me well and does everything I need it to do from cleaning up after mowing, cleaning leaves from the deck and mulch off paths. Good value for money.

Great design and has become an essential tool in my garden maintenance arsenal. Living on the north shore means I have heaps of leaves and gum nuts that need constant cleaning. This blower does it with ease every time. The only negative is the lower capacity battery on the newer model which I just got. My original model came with 20% more battery capacity

I have much respect for the Ryobi range in total. I currently have only three items, but remain impressed, not just with the design of the individual items, but the ultimate design feature of enabling most items to work off the same batteries. The interchangeability creates a fluidity in respect to working that keeps a job situation on the boil, rather than stop start in other cases.I think the foresight in the base design concept was quite unique.

I bought this blower after i gave my old version (must be at least 10 years old if not more) to my daughter who now has own yard to look after, still going strong. The new one a little stronger and quieter than the old, works great, I mainly use it for blowing grass mowed grass and leaves off paths and decks, does the job with power to spare. I think it is more efficient on batteries than the old as well. The only slight negative is that the new model is is not as well ergonomically balanced as the old, my forearm begins to ache only after a few minute of use, seems to be a little front heavy.
So easy to use and very light.I use the blower around the pool, it blows all leaf litter and debris away.So quick too, i unplug my battery from my Ryobi radio, plug it into the blower, blow the leaves away, then put it back onto radio, job done.I have it close by, job done in 1 minute. Broom and shovel would take 15-30, if i could be bothered. Takes the chore out of maintenance. You can get bigger ones for bigger areas, but this is just perfect for the task. The missus loves it!
Purchased to replace previous blower. Great item for large flat areas. Although would like to see Ryobi publish the same range of blowers specifications to allow for better comparison between models. Currently some specify air flow in kph which others quote volume of air which makes comparing apples and apples difficult.
Coming from a heavy, corded blower I love this units size and easy handling. I use it to clean up the paths and deck after mowing. It still has plenty of power to then tackle the fallen leaves and finally I blow the loose grass off my cordless mower and line trimmer. This cleans them really well instead of risking damaging them with the garden hose and is an added reason to purchase this blower. I have a very small yard and use the one battery for mowing, trimming and blowing. Would recommend having a spare battery if your yard is average size.
A very good machine for medium as stated by Ryobi, great for patios, concrete and garage/carport in which We have, the fact it has a narrow blow nozzle makes for more control without blowing stuff everywhere. The battery power consumption is very good and nice and light, used it for blowing leaves out of roof gutters(dry leaf),I really do recommend this machine for l8ght to medium work as stated by Ryobi.I love it as ii is more convenient than my petrol blower for random smallish jobs.My recommendations come with some authority as I have a lawnmowing/yard maintenance business.Very good value for money for what it is designed to do.I reckon a householders new best friend.
I needed a new blower and mainly went for this model as my neighbour said he can't remember how long ago he bought his and it's still going. He's one of those cylinder mower guys, mowing twice a week so I took that as a good recommendation. Another thing to take into consideration was size and weight as my wife often likes to clean the patio and a light weight would no doubt make her job a little easier.I knew I was going from a corded to a cordless but was still stunned at the convenience, I should've done this years ago. Also the weight of 1.6KG is right there on the box but I still cannot believe I'm actually holding something it's almost unbelievable to see something so light and yet not fragile do the work it does.In summary the only thing I'd like a little ... MoreI needed a new blower and mainly went for this model as my neighbour said he can't remember how long ago he bought his and it's still going. Nothing against this product but item I had prior was more powerful. It also had a cord and weighed about 4 times as much so dipping a little in one area while excelling so much in another is a small price to pay. I whole heartedly recommend this little beauty.
I was a bit hesitant to buy this given the cheap price. I’ve owned some serious blowers before and I was worried it would be weak. But this thing is brilliant. It has the perfect amount of power and is very light. It’s actually better than much more expensive and more powerful blowers I’ve owned. They create a hurricane of leaves and dust flying everywhere. This thing is precise and targeted. If you needed to blow giant spaces this might not be the ideal solution, but for keeping your paths and yard clear it is 10/10. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.
