If you're after a compact, but powerful air blower, then this is one you should really check out. It has a comfortable and solid feel in the hand. The size is compact, yet the air stream it produces is very impressive. The nozzle is detachable and is made from rubber. The only issue is that the lugs on the nozzle don't seem to seat quite as they should in the slots on the body and needs a little bit of fiddling in order to have them seat well enough to stop the nozzle from falling off. The 3 stage speed with an infinitely variable trigger is a really great feature. Having this feature allows you wonderful control of the air stream, eg. you can move dust, wood shavings etc off a workbench, without sending everything else onto the floor. Having this much control also opens up other avenues you wouldn't even dream of doing with other blowers , for example: if you have a dusty workshop, it can blow out your tools such as drills, impact drivers, table saws etc. It even has a use in the computer room, as every computer needs to have the dust blown out of its filters and case etc. This is easily done with this blower, especially since it has a rubber nozzle, so accidently touching something with it, won't damage the component and with it's air flow control, you can adjust the level so it moves the dust without fear of damaging something. But don't be fooled by thinking this blower is only for the workshop. It is powerful enough to clean off concrete areas, paths, mowing strips etc. It is also great for dusting off things like ride on mowers. However, if you have a lot of leaves/grass to move, then this blower may not be for you. Battery usage is moderate, so if you have a reasonable amount to do with it, you may want to load in something like a 5 AH. Overall, another great tool from Ryobi and one I would highly recommend.

I saw that many detailers are moving away from chamois drying and using devices like these (or larger leaf blowers) to remove water from vehicles after the washing process. I have owned the larger leaf blower for a couple of years and it is fantastic. Given that I have the battery already, I bought this tool from Bunnings. It has a three speed motor and has quite a powerful air output. Whilst it is great for getting water out of the smaller areas and hard to reach places of the vehicle, it is probably undersized for moving water off large surfaces like the bonnet and roof. Great addition to my Ryobi arsenal of power tools! Enough power to blast the dirt and dust from my workshop benches and floor. Light enough to wave around with one hand. Compact enough to store in a drawer with other tools including cordless drill, cordless router, sander, and multi tool.
