On my second one now same problem as another guy had! The cartridge tube doesn't screw into the housing properly and pops off. Either needs a bigger thread or better tolerance. I'll persevere with this one for a while but probably take it back

On my second one now same problem as another guy had! The cartridge tube doesn't screw into the housing properly and pops off. Either needs a bigger thread or better tolerance. I'll persevere with this one for a while but probably take it back
Onto my second one of these now. I run a landscape maintenance company and need something to grease our mowers and other machinery with quickly. Our other Ryobi battery tools have been great but this thing is terrible! The first one somehow stuffed itself when the rubber seal bent inside the grease tube but Bunnungs replaced it thankfully. Now the second one has completely snapped a grease fitting off my $35,000 Kubota mower! Not to mention the first one did the same thing on one of my trailers.The springs in these are way too tight so it’s virtually impossible to get the unit off a grease fitting without destroying it.I know they need to break in a bit but it would be good to be able to do that without actually breaking any of our extremely expensive ... MoreOnto my second one of these now. Used for farm application, greasing mowers, balers and tractors and everything else thats needs greasing. Really easy to use and refill. Bit early to talk longevity but it seams durable. I would like to see a preset dial to set pumps.
The grease gun seems to work well but I haven't even finished one cartridge yet so can't really comment on durability. I do find it difficult to judge how much grease is being delivered into a tight nipple. I suspect as the required pressure to push grease into the nipple increases the actual amount of grease delivered decreases unlike a hand gun where each full depression of the handle supplies the same amount of grease irrespective of the required pressure.
Love all my tools, have 30 odd 18v tools plus air tools and so much more. Always reliable and if you do have any issues they get replaced no questions asked. Awesome!
This has to be the easiest grease gun I’ve ever used. Changing out grease cartridges is and breeze and bleeding the air is done with the a finger tight nut. The amount of air operated guns I’ve been through and the dramas to replace the cartridge and bleed the air out of, make this ryobi top of the list. I restore vintage engines, tractors and cars. One of my tractors has 21 grease nipples. The unit is comfortable to hold and the trigger is easy accessible. The long hose makes it easier to grease the hard to reach spots. Once finished the hose clicks neatly away on the tool. The grease gun has cut the maintenance time in half the battery is still on full bars. It doesn’t leak and keeps your hands clean. A very useful tool.
I would rate this 6 stars if I could. I work in the earthmoving industry and have used this on scrapers, diggers, dozer and so on, and WOW! With a little 2AH battery I can grease up everyday for a week before the battery needs charging. Even tight stubborn rollers and bucket pins, this thing will punch grease in there everytime.
Works well. I use it to grease a 1.8T excavator, and it is so much better than the manual gun! Not perfect though - it could be improved by either a shoulder strap, or longer hose for my application.... Sometimes two hands are needed! The coupler is just slim enough to get to the nipples in the ends of the recessed pins, but a 'trigger' type lock might be better. I have a couple of places where the full pressure is applied and it is a significant struggle to get the coupler off the nipple.Pro: I must be 4x faster (at least) than the manual gun.Con: Expensive, coupler is *just* OK, needs a bag and a strap/longer hose.
