I find this very useful at its price point. I mix up my own cleaning liquid and spray with this. It would be good in the garden as well. It would be nice if two reservoirs and a cap were include for an additional cost as it requires clean water run through it after the chemicals. A second jug would make it easy to save the unused mix and rinse with the second jug and not have to rinse out the jug with the mix and fill with water each time. I will buy a second one to make saving solution and rinsing easier.

I have Carpal tunnel and I will say when my husband came to surprise me with this tool, I thought it was a clever way for him to get himself something new. But this has done wonders for cleaning around the house. My hand doesn’t get stuck while spraying anymore. It’s versatile because you can add any cleaning or sanitizing solution. It’s very durable because it’s Ryobi. The only ZONK I’d give it is that it’s only the tool not the battery. So if you don’t have the batteries it can get pricy. But I LOVE IT. One last thing, this is a power tool. So it’s a bit on the heavy side depending on which battery you add. Just don’t think it will be as light as a sprayer bottle.

Know your use case. Could be perfect if you’re seeking a spray bottle where you don’t need to pull trigger repeatedly.Pros: light but solid feel, low price, easy to clean, quietCons: only 1 setting, more like mist. Mist is nicely consistent across spray range; but range is comparable to a spray bottle. Poor for large coverage jobs. Small tank. Design leaves battery exposed to accidents walking through your spray, or during refills. Wouldn’t want to store preloaded “ready to go” in bathroom.

The sprayer sprays a fine mist in one pattern. There is no control over the pattern or the spray. In most cases the spray volume is low. If you spray anything that dries up and leaves a residue then the tip WILL CLOG even if you clean the sprayer. There is no easy way to clean the tip and has to be replaced. You cannot pass a thin wire through the tip to clean it because of its convoluted design. It would have been a decent product if the tip did not clog, was easy to clean and did not leak.
Ryobi needs to update their listing and the tool name. This product is more of a mister and not a sprayer. I find it surprising no one else has mentioned this. It moves a very small amount of fluid and you cannot adjust the flow nor spray pattern. If you do use a disinfectant, some of the product you spray will be atomized/airborne.The first lines of marketing mention "coverage"I really don't like being misled and I'm sure no one else does. Luckily this tool was only $20, so not a huge loss.
Spray mist is very fine with low pressure resulting in a very low flow rate. Any fluid that us not pure water (e.g., deer repellent), gets clogged in nozzle that has a very small orifice. Also, manual says to empty tank and flush clean water thru sprayer several times each time after using it - quite inconvenient. Not at all like the spray from a conventional tank sprayer that you manually pump up to pressurize.
I purchased this tool for $19.99 and it was well worth it. I’d read a few reviews that mentioned that it sprayed a mist rather than a stream. I immediatly thought of the possibility of using it as a mister. Well, it worked! I’ve been using it at the job site and by the pool for about a week and a half or so now and love it! It won’t do heavy liquids like sealers, varnish, etc. but it handles water like a champ, and I’m sure it would handle herbicide or bug spray as well. The Ryobi Handheld sprayer is a great tool for covering large surface areas or having a need to cover multiple areas frequently. Setup was as easy as filling the canister up with your disinfectant/liquid of choice, attaching it to the sprayer and pressing the trigger. Spraying provides a consistent and even spray from the nozzle. Unit itself is quiet when spraying. There is no adjustable nozzle, so the spray pattern is set. The nozzle does rotate, but that is only to remove the nozzle for cleaning.I can see this being useful in classrooms, offices or high touch point areas that need constant disinfecting. If you are disinfecting a surface here or there, you might be better off just sticking to a regular manual spray bottle.I used the sprayer for disinfectant ... MoreThe Ryobi Handheld sprayer is a great tool for covering large surface areas or having a need to cover multiple areas frequently. If you are disinfecting a surface here or there, you might be better off just sticking to a regular manual spray bottle.I used the sprayer for disinfectant for the time being, but I see myself using the sprayer to help apply detailing mists to my car when it comes time to clean the car, as well as in the summer for applying diluted neem oil to the various garden beds we have at the house. I think it would be neat if additional canisters were sold separately incase one wanted to swap out to different liquids with ease.Manual states that anything that is the consistency of water can be used, however anything thicker has the potential of clogging the nozzle. There is some drippage from the nozzle after spraying so be mindful of that.As always, the 18v system from Ryobi is amazing allowing me swap my batteries out between all my different 18v Ryobi products.
The Ryobi One+ Cordless Hand held sprayer (tool only) is a good product when you need to spray any product with a water-like consistency (other than petroleum products) onto a surface. These products could be disinfectants, cleaners, pesticides and would be good for spraying fertilizer mixtures onto plants for leaf-feeding them. This sprayer will accept any One+ 18V battery and I used a smaller one so I could keep this sprayer light. I like the easy to use trigger and fact that I don't have to constantly pull a lever or pump it. The spray pattern is fixed and emits a fine mist that will coat any surface within a couple of seconds. The spray pattern/spray volume isn't adjustable and the unit will not spray when held upside down. The spray pattern/spray volume isn't adjustable and the unit will not spray when held upside down. The pickup tube in the 15 ounce tank has to be submerged in the liquid or it won't spray. The tank is very easy to attach/detach, fill and is made of a translucent plastic so you can see how much is left in it. After using any chemical or possible corrosive liquid you have to empty the tank and flush the sprayer before storage. This sprayer is a good product that works well. An adjustable spray pattern would have made it better. It doesn't include the battery or charger.
