I did a direct charge/discharge comparison of these batteries versus geniune Ryobi branded batteries, and found that they only hold 40% of the energy. So their real ratings should be: "2.0Ah" = 0.8Ah "2.5Ah "= 1.0Ah "4.0Ah" = 1.2Ah "5.0Ah" = 2.0Ah "6.0Ah" = 2.4Ah So they work out to ~$23 per Ah, which is good value for the lighter lower capacity batteries compared to Ryobi retail price. Just remember the amount actual runtime you will get.

Great price and works well. Is not accepted by one of my charging ports but Luckily I have other older chargers that do the job. Works for all my Ryobi tools except for the pole saw. These batteries fall out of the housing on to the ground. This is the only tool it happens to thankfully. Ryobi must have made the pole saw housing mm larger.

I bought this for a DIY plank wall project where I would be driving a lot of concrete screws into brick. I had the 5.0Ah battery before the 2.5Ah one but found it quite heavy if using it for several hours so wanted something lighter for this project. Roughly the 2.5Ah battery comes in around 445g and the 5.0Ah around 775g. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would certainly get another one.
Pros: Charged well and holding charge for quite some time, enough to build a small steel shed and still have half charge. Fitted drill and other units with no problems and clicks into place properly, so they dont fall out. Only Con I can find is that the charge indicators are hard to see outside in the daylight, not even an issue really. Highly recommended!
Pricing was where you should buy from for all replacements. But clipping in an out is not for old people with arthritis. The quality control in manufacture hasn't matched expectations for users and batteries are difficult to get in and out of tools and charger. I've ended up filing the plastic casings and all work much better now.
Quote expensoive to buy these batteries but this was modestly priced relatively speaking. Although a good idea to have interchangeable batteries Ryobi are on a good thing as you Have to buy 'their battery so good marketing ploy!! As for performance I have no issues and it works well. Watch that you buy the battery with the right capacity for the job in hand. Good all round.
Very pleased with the result, far cheaper than the makers replacement and so far when fully charged works just as long. Will definitely purchase other replacements when needed.
Its early days only used it once but its surpassed my expectations compared to the original 1.5amh Ryobi original that required recharging in the middle of the job. The 2.5amh battery replacement is a fraction of the originals price and completed the job without recharging.
Funny survey! you only give me the choice of yes or no when I just receive it. So how could I know if I should recommend it, if it is good value or good quality? I do have an ongoing problem with surveys - those who design them quite often got their head buried in their 'tail' but this is the time we live in... So I hope it's good quality and if it is I would recommend it because it would be good value even if batteries are often over priced and often almost as expensive as the tool they drive. A little like cartridge for printer . Well was I specific enough? Ok the good was that it arrived in a very reasonable time, and it's working at the present but I has so little use of it yet I can't say more.
