Japanese Curry Mix, Golden Curry, Medium Hot This is deliciousness in a box! However, you do need to put a little work in. Now I didn't completely follow the directions on the box. First, I took 2lbs of chicken thighs, skin and bone in, seasoned with salt, pepper, and a little bit of sugar (this gives a nice carmalization to the skin). Take a large sauce pot, add 3tbsp of oil to medium high heat. Add seasoned thighs and cook for 5 min on both sides. Remove and let rest. Add sliced onions, diced celery, and wedge cut rolled carrots, add large diced green peppers to pot and Sautee for 5-6min. Splash vinegar (about 2-3tbsp) in pot to break up the brown bits at the bottom, add 2tbsp butter. Then add wedge cut potatoes and yams, season with 1tsp paprika, 1tsp ginger ... MoreJapanese Curry Mix, Golden Curry, Medium Hot This is deliciousness in a box! While that is cooking, turn your attention to the chicken. Debone it and cut into bite-sized piece (don't toss the bones, they have plenty of meat and lots of flavor). Add chicken, bones too, to the pot. Toss everything and add 5 cups of water to the pot and bring to boil. Reduce heat, add 2 bricks of Golden Curry to the pot, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stir occasionally. Add salt and pepper to your liking. If it seems unbalanced, stir in a pinch of sugar. Serve over white rice or noodles. Makes about 10 to 12 servings.

Curry is a comfort kind of food. I love to make a quick veggie curry with this SB Golden Curry Sauce Mix Middle hot (no meat contained) because it is designed for vegetarian people who would like to avoid animal ingredients, onion and garlic. It cooks quickly and forms a thick sauce without having to add any additional starch or thickener. Crazy easy to use as you just dissolve a cube and combine with water and coconut milk. Not spicy at all if you want spice go hotter. I like mild curry so it was great for me. I strongly recommend this product. Features details * Traditional Japanese curry sauce mix * Harmony of spices and herbs sets the standard of Japanese style curry * Excellent when served over grilled or sauteed cubed beef and rice

Although this reads medium hot, we didn’t feel the heat. But.....it really enhances the flavor. This package contains two packets. A normal size family needs just one but if your having family over, use both. This is the best curry mix you can buy. It’s authentic and full of flavor. If you’ve never used it before, let me help you put. Cut some carrots up and start cooking them in a pan. Add cut up onions, and then your meat (I use steak cut up in small pieces), and then add green beans (I use canned). Add a cup of water and cook, then add the curry mix, add a half cup of water. Mix the curry in the pan and simmer. Make rice, add a generous amount of spice curry to the water before boiling. ( You can take a piece of this curry mix and put it in the pot). When I lived in a Germany, we ordered this meal at a Restaurant. This tastes just like what they served.

I'm from the north east in Pennsylvania, and it's a bit too spicy for the uninitiated locals that don't eat any spicy food, but to those that do it's plenty mild. It is more mild than most mild kimchi's in my opinion. It mixes well into other sauces, I recommend using chicken broth, vegetable broth or a mushroom broth to mix into it with for richer more unique flavor. Bonito broth is not as good a mix ingredient in this.Serve with veggies and rice, as a paste for sandwiches, once we strained and sprayed popcorn with good success. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination
I love this curry! It's very simple but nice and flavorful. Expect it to be a bit salty, but it's so simple to make and delicious. If you find it too salty, just add a little extra water. It's flavorful enough that you won't notice it being diluted much! I simmer mine with chicken and potatoes! It's not really spicy at all- and I say this as somebody who does NOT like spicy food. I really love it! I'll be buying this frequently :-) !
This sauce mix will turn just about any selection of veggies and meat into a Japanese stew perfect for serving over rice, with enough spice to warm your body but not enough to burn your tongue. Kare raisu is a staple Japanese comfort food, and this makes it super easy.EXPERIMENT with this. Use different meats and vegetables based on what's cheap or what you like. The classic uses carrots, potatoes and onion- onion is important, never skip it. Everything else is up to you. I've been making it with jicama instead of potato, stewing can't defeat its crunch which adds a very nice texture to the finished product. I've also tried sweet corn, chickpeas, peppers, snap peas, oranges, and lots of other things. It's hard to find a loser. Pork seems to be the best meat to use ... MoreThis sauce mix will turn just about any selection of veggies and meat into a Japanese stew perfect for serving over rice, with enough spice to warm your body but not enough to burn your tongue. Pork seems to be the best meat to use for it, but again, try anything that can be stir-fried.I'll admit, I tried it because I'd seen it in anime... but having tasted it, I'm going to be making it for the rest of my life!
