Bought the boots to do the 6 day Overland Track. They were excellent. Very comfortable and felt more like a runner than a boot. We didn't have horrendous weather but naturally it was wet and muddy in many places. The boots were bone dry. Wore with merino socks. Suggest going a size up as the fit was on the smaller size. I'm usually a 44.5, and in these I was a 46. 10/10!

Very comfortable boot with good padding under ball of foot. Mid cut gives good support to ankle withouit restricting movement. Quality appears to be as good as my low-cut Salomens which survuved 975km of Camino trails and are still going stong, but need this higher cut pair for next desert adventure. Only worn on a few local trail, 20km, walks so far, but lookin’ good.

On my 3rd pair because I wore out the other 2 with constant use. Great every day boots if you work outside! I spend big parts of my day working out on parks and ovals, often on cold or dewy mornings. These are perfect, comfortable and keep the socks dry. They are not safety boots but I dont need safety boots. Good for weekend hiking as well.

These are great lightweight hiking shoes that would mostly suit day walks without a heavy pack. Fit is correct to size and the boot is well-made and waterproof as expected from a GTX shoe. good grip on slippery terrain and nice traction on muddy trails and grassy paths.. Continues the Salomon tradition of well made gear.
Excellent lightweight but supportive boot which is well-suited to multi-day hikes as it comfortably handles all but the most extreme conditions.Excellent waterproofing guaranteed by Goretex layer and fast/smooth lace tightening and adjustment - a regular feature on Salomon gear.My second pair - hope the range is still available in 2029 when I come back for a third.
I've had several Salomon shoes and overall they've been my go-to walking and hiking boot. Half of them fit superbly and the other half are too narrow (which isn't overly obvious in store when trying them out. These aren't as cushioned as some reviewers allege either. Sadly, these are a regretful purchase and I'll be going to the X Ultra GTX 4 wide mid.
Excellent hiking boots. The day after they arrived I did a 2 day 20km arduous hike with 20Kg in my pack in pouring rain. They held up brilliant with many more hours left in them.Tip - use a cigarette lighter to melt the threads left from construction so they don't pull undone.
I buy a pair of these boots when my feet tell me I need new ones. Always Salomon. They fit me perfectly. I love the comfort and support they give and with the Goretex they are, of course, waterproof. I wear these every day at work and in my own time, too. They're basically never off my feet. I love them and I think they look cool, too.
These shoes have very little under foot padding. I trail walk around 50 kms per week and tried a different brand to the one I use but wear out every 3 months. Never again, I’m now wearing 3 socks & using multiple inserts to reduce the underfoot damage.
I bought these in October 2023 for a 3 week trip to New York, Switzerland, Paris and Japan. I knew they were comfortable from the initial wear test before I purchased them, but they provided great support, grip and comfort every day on the trip, where we were walking about 15km a day. I tested them across all surfaces (dry, wet, snow + slippery cobble stones) and they gripped well. I accidentally stood in a deep puddle and it kept all the water out and my foot dry. Laces are strong and easy to pull on with gloves too. While they were really durable they were also really light and I didn’t feel my legs being weighed down at the end of the day. I used them with a few sets of really good Kathmandu/ Mountain Designs socks which added to the support and comfort.
