I know the price is good but I can only give these a half rating because they're missing half a function - not being able to go into the negative is a massive pain for weighing things out. I wish I'd read the other review here and realised before I bought them.

I ordered this kitchen scale as a click and collect based on the fact that it has buttons and the digital display is off to the side. However, the digital display is very small - not for those with poor eyesight! After a short period of use, I ended up buying a different one with a bigger display from another retailer.

Excellent practical set of scales. Our last set had glass lining which smashed. These are made of a more durable material.
Just bought these scales and I am impressed. They do everything they are supposed to do. Numerous items can be weighed at once just put the button back to zero for each item no messing on with different containers. My daughter has bought the scales too and she loves them.
Compact, slim scales. Fits nicely in to my storage space. Quite accurate, although, to weigh a gram is near impossible. However, 3 grams upwards is just fine. It also measures in Imperial.
I already have this set of scales, but wanted to replace with a new set as some of the functions had ceased to work on my old set. I bought the new version. Could I get into the battery compartment? Not a chance - unless you have a 00 screwdriver. I wastold that the teeny little screwwas for safety - to prevent children from accessing the battery. Safety gone mad, when you can't easily put in a battery. Couldn't be bothered, so returned it to the store...
These scales are cheap and work pretty well, although they don’t register negative amounts which is a shame. However, my scales stopped working within 6 months of buying them, but as they are covered by a 15 year guarantee, I figured this wouldn’t be a problem.Salter/Homedics agreed to honour the guarantee even though I had lost my receipt - but I had to pay return postage. It took 2 weeks to get the return details, and I have now been waiting another month for my replacement - still no scales.My advice: buy these scales - in fact at this price buy two - then you will still have a spare set when one breaks and you are waiting for a replacement. But keep the receipt!
Light & simple, made of tough plastic with a nubbly easy-to-grip-with-wet-hands finish. One button controls the weighing, set to zero, add whatever bowl you're using & reset to zero, add ingredient - readout its weight. You can keep on adding ingredients, all the time getting their total weight, or at any time reset to zero and get next ingredient's weight. So simple. Stores anywhere - I have it on edge in the kitchen bookcase. Sole niggle is display size - could be bigger.
They do the job, but I find the screen difficult to read once I have a mixing bowl on them. And unlike my previous set of digital scales they don’t do negatives - when I had a big mixing bowl on them so the screen was difficult to read I used to weigh the open bag of ingredient, press the button to return to zero and then weigh the bag as I measured the ingredient out so the negative number it showed was the amount I’d removed from the bag but I can’t do that with these scales which is disappointing. Not sure if that was something I missed in the description or not. But they’ll do the job, just not as easily as I thought.
