I have owned, and still do own a number of different soundbars. Currently I have the bose Soundtouch 300 with sub and surrounds and also a Sonos Arc with sub an symfonisk surrounds. It is as good, if not better in areas, as my sonos and bose and about half the price. Well done samsung I would highly recommend this soundbar to anyone in the market for a high quality listening experience.

Recently purchased and installed together with a Samsung QLED TV has proven to be a wise choice for my home based cinema room. Especially during this unbearable year of lockdowns in my home town. An excellent soundbar. I paired this Samsung soundbar to my Sony Bravia TV. Both are 2021 models. The Samsung and the Sony paired intuitively, almost naturally without much intervention from me. They now work flawlessly together and have done without glitch since I plugged them to each other. The subwoofer is wonderful, it is deep and rumbling and shakes the very insides of your bones. The rear and upwards facing speakers do a great job with any surround or Dolby Atmos sound mix, I track every projectile that whizzes past my ear or over my head. The front and central channels give out clear voice and the whole system provides a wide soundstage. And the music, wow, just clarity and fidelity throughout. I'm happy with the acquisition and recommend the HW-Q870A.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this sound system to pair with the Samsung UHD 65" 4K tv for our media room. I am really blown away with this sound system. If you're thinking about upgrading your sound system I would definitely go for this one. It sounds great when playing 4K movies in surround sound with Dolby Atmos. The sound is crisp and clear and the bass is amazing. The wire less rear speakers connectivity is awesome and the whole system is easy to set up and the fact that you can use your Samsung tv remote with voice control is a time saver. A true cinema experience at home packed with awesome features.

I've had my HW-Q870A home theatre system for nearly 2 months now and thought I would leave a review for others out there who are trying to decide what to pull the trigger on. In the box you will get: one soundbar, one subwoofer, two satellite speakers, power cables, a remote control, and a HDMI cable. My first impression on opening the box was that it was thoughtfully packed with recyclable materials. My second impression was that the speakers themselves are sturdy, look great, and blended into my room very nicely. My third impression was that it was too easy to set up - literally plug the soundbar into the tv and the speakers into to a power source and the TV (in my case, a Samsung QN85A) instantly discovered it, there was nothing else to do. It has other features like WiFi and bluetooth and will seamlessly integrate with all of your other Samsung products (if that's your style). After nearly 2 months I remain totally satisfied with my HW-Q870A. The only thing I can fault is that the AC power for the speakers is a sturdy right-angle connector that cannot be removed so I was unable to run / hide the power cables through the internal cable routes in the poles of my third-party satellite speaker stands - I deduct 1 star for that in terms of Design. A rather small gripe for an otherwise excellent product.Overall, the HW-Q870A was a smart purchase and I would strongly recommend it.

On a sad note, i have just had to call tech support due to a problem with the sound on my soundbar and tv. Lately, when the tv is connected to the sound bar, the volume drops out and everything goes silent. Samsung are helping us resolve the issue and have reset the sound in the tv settings. The first sound bar I bought was a dud. The soundbar was stuck in reboot loop after a firmware update. I returned and got a replacement from a different store as they had stock.Now that it's connected to my Sony X90J TV, it works perfectly. Turns on/off when the TV is on/off. Playing 5.1 4k movies is awesome! Sound is great and the bass is cinematic. Definitely better than my LG 9.1 system that crapped out recently. Bought this when it was on sale at half price and worth the price. App connectivity is great - you can change volume and settings from there. The app is slow to load, but once open is great. After installing it, as per instructions, I could not hear any more than a whisper from the rear speakers and only when I bought my ears within 20cm of the speakers. This was at maximum volume for the rear speakers. I called Samsung support and they said "that's all you can expect". They instructed me on how to setup the system differently to try and increase the volume, but it did not help. Then we did a 5.1 audio test with various YouTube video/audio recordings and all the speakers were out of sync with front speakers playing at the rear, and rear speakers playing on the sound bar etc. So they said it either needs to be repaired or replaced! But the main thing is that you cannot expect to hear any more than a whisper from the rear speakers. I bought this 1 year ago, I worked well for couple of months but after that the soundbar started playing up. The volume in the soundbar lowers itself, can hardly hear any dialogues but has very loud sound effect. Contacted Samsung costumer care multiple times, and could not fix it. Took speaker to the service centre, they said could not find problem. Spoken to costumer care when I still had a warranty to replace or refund my money as not happy at all with the speaker. Can’t use it as the sound quality is very bad. Very frustrating and a waste of money.
