I was so sad to have to return this tv. The picture on streaming from the Apple TV box and PS5 was exceptional, however, for reasons unknown we were unable to get this TV to work properly with the Telus 4K box. This is after about 4 hours with Telus tech support & 3 hours with Samsung support. Only issue I had that had nothing to do with the TV itself was the professional installation. Samsung contracted that out to Angie who assigned 2 separate people to do the installation. One never showed up, so I helped with the installation. I had already installed the TV wall mount and installed cables in the wall before they arrived. Probably would have had to reschedule if I had been unable to help. Person who did show up was knowledgeable about installing TVs. Samsung did reimbursement me approximately 65% of the installation charge. Purchased this television on June 1 2024 as a replacement for a 6 year old LED TV. The main reason for replacing my LED TV was I wanted something that would be a little better in a high brightness room. My wife and I recently moved to a 55 plus condo and our TV is situated next to the large deck slider windows. It is very bright and we had a hard time seeing a good picture during the daytime. From the minute that we set and turned on our new QLED TV we could see a world of difference. The picture is brighter and extremely visible no matter how much light comes into our living room. I looked closely at the Q60D series since that was the top end unit they had at Target.After seeing both the Q70C and Q60D side by side, the picture quality and colors convinced me the additional money was worth it. We have it installed in a large room with lost of nature light during the day. The viewing angle is wide, and the screen does not get washed out from the lighting.Sound is good, although we are using a Roko soundbar in our set up. Please with the sound quality and range. I've had this for almost 2 weeks and so far it's great. I replaced a 13 year old Samsung LCD which still worked well and had nice picture but this is definitely an upgrade. The picture is bright and crisp. The colors look great and when I've watched 4k content it looks incredible. Xbox Series X games also look great.I have a sound bar so I don't use the tv speakers. The little bit I did hear sound from them during set up, they did not sound great. I have my sound bar connected with the optical cable because I want it to turn on/off with the tv. I do have an issue with the sound bar muting after turning the tv on and sometimes when changing inputs. Not sure if it's something with the tv or the sound bar. There appears to be quite a few FAST channels and content suggestions that give you the option of where to purchase or what subscription you need to watch it. The Apple TV upconverts everything to UHD so even the non-4k content I've watched on that looks great.I have an antenna for local channels. The coax connection sticks out the side of the inset area where all the connections are and is difficult to attach because there isn't much space. On my old tv it stuck straight out the back.Assembly is very easy with two people. Set up was fairly easy, you do need to set up a Samsung account and download the Smart Things app if you don't have those already. I like that the remote is solar and can also be charged with a USB-C cable so no messing with batteries. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and will update if I run into any issues.

And even though I had good experience with Samsung TVs, I was hesitant to go back because I did enjoy the android TV platform and I did not believe it was possible to have access to all the apps and features on a Samsung TV that I had grown accustomed to on the Sony with Android TV. However, I took the chance on a 65inch Samsung Qr7 qled TV because the picture was amazing. 4 years later, I am so grateful I switched back to Samsung. The picture still looks as awesome as the day I bought it, and my concerns about the platform were completely unwarranted because the Tizen platform is just as good as Android TV in my opinion. And there are way more convenient features than the Sony had. It is already outlasted the Sony TV as well.
Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised that this tv didn't weigh a ton, so set up was easy to achieve. The ouputs on the back were a little annoying, as I think it would be easier to place inputs if outputs were facing the other direction. Also, some images definitely lose the richness and you can see pixels.However, with those few hiccups, this tv has changed everything! It's really nice not having to sit like 12 inches away from a small 25 inch tv screen. We can sit 6 ft away on the couch, and not lose visual clarity of what is on tv. It's interesting, as some of the media almost makes you feel like you are in it...quite amazing! It is great that the remote also worked for operating the Amazon firestick.
