This TV is absolutely amazing. Total setup time from opening the box to installing software updates was about 20 minutes total, including switching out prior TV from the brackets.Setup was fast and simple once we powered on the TV. You can choose whether to complete it using the included remote control or the Samsung SmartThings app. If you have other devices and would like to connect them to the TV, there are several HMDI ports to plug them into. I plugged my soundbar and it was plug and play during setup.I was blown away by the picture quality. The TV comes with Dual LED, which helps keep the picture quality realistic. My kids love that you didn’t need the gaming console hooked up to be able to use it, and there were plenty of games you can play. There was no lag when they tried it out.I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone if you’re looking to upgrade your TV.

My tv is a QA75Q70CAWXXY. The tv is absolutely fantastic! So much care and attention has gone into it and I especially love the remote and being able to talk into it to navigate to things sometimes instead of pushing buttons. I have Samsung everything in my house. I am a very fussy person (I am a mechanical engineer) and Samsung totally satisfies me. So many people at Samsung are trying so very hard and it does NOT go unnoticed by me. The only problem I have is a backward compatibility issue with my home theatre. My home theatre is also a Samsung one that I bought in 2016. The model number is HT-J7750W. I bought it in 2016 so it's about 8 years older and is not fully compatible with the tv. What happens is that sometimes when I turn on the tv the home theatre (it's connected with HDMI cable) doesn't turn on and I have to turn it on manually. Also, what often happens is that often the tv doesn't pick up the theatre and so the sound is partially muted or sometimes defaults to the tv speakers. I then have to turn the tv off and then on again or toggle where the sound output is in the Home screen. I basically have to "jiggle" it to get the home theatre speakers to work. If there was a downloadable update for this that would be awesome. I downloaded the latest update about 6 weeks ago but that didn't fix it and there hasn't been an update since. Can you fix this? Apart from that the tv is brilliant and the next tv I get will be a Samsung but will be even bigger than this one. Maybe 98 inches.

Great Picture but Faulty with Telus 4K Box

I was so sad to have to return this tv. The picture on streaming from the Apple TV box and PS5 was exceptional, however, for reasons unknown we were unable to get this TV to work properly with the Telus 4K box. This is after about 4 hours with Telus tech support & 3 hours with Samsung support. Unfortunately, there is an issue where the picture flickers incessantly while attempting to watch the Telus digital cable box. The only solution to this, it appeared, was to put the Samsung TV on "Game Mode" to watch Telus TV. Otherwise, the issue persisted. Further Q-symphony, a great feature I'm sure, did not work with my 2020 Samsung soundbar; apparently it only works with certain Samsung soundbars, so make sure to check if yours will work if you hope to take advantage of Q-sympony.A great picture, but faulty with Telus' box. Not sure if similar issues would occur with Shaw/Rogers or Bell.

I should have stayed with Samsung
1 July 2024

My 2 first big TV purchases in my lifetime were Samsung flat-screen LCDs that I bought in 2006 and 2010. I still have those TVs and they are still working great. In 2016 I wanted to upgrade to a 4k smart TV. I found a deal on a 55 inch Sony Bravia which did have a beautiful display and the convenient Androidtv platform. Unfortunately the picture quality degraded in less than 2 years until eventually it was unwatchable because everything was purple. Then the power board died and I had it replaced hoping I would be pleasantly surprised to see picture return to normal. It did not. So I knew it was time for a new TV even though I thought 3 years was way too short for a TV to last considering how much was invested into it. And even though I had good experience with Samsung TVs, I was hesitant to go back because I did enjoy the android TV platform and I did not believe it was possible to have access to all the apps and features on a Samsung TV that I had grown accustomed to on the Sony with Android TV. However, I took the chance on a 65inch Samsung Qr7 qled TV because the picture was amazing. 4 years later, I am so grateful I switched back to Samsung. The picture still looks as awesome as the day I bought it, and my concerns about the platform were completely unwarranted because the Tizen platform is just as good as Android TV in my opinion. And there are way more convenient features than the Sony had. It is already outlasted the Sony TV as well.

Lazy employees ! "TV is Great" !!!

I get that you don't go into Conns just to look around. Most people are looking to make a purchase or to look at different models if your shopping for tv's or appliances. I called the store the day before I made my purchase to see if the tv I was looking for was in stock. I told the sales person I would be there the next day to purchase the tv. I walk into the store and see no one . I go in a little further and see 3 sales people sitting on a couch that was on display on their phones. I said that I was there about a tv I had called about the day before. A young man got up and pointed out the tv I was there to purchase. The two girls continued to sit there. I made the comment that I would like to have a job that I could sit all day and play on my phone. I really ... MoreI get that you don't go into Conns just to look around. Most people are looking to make a purchase or to look at different models if your shopping for tv's or appliances. I made the comment that I would like to have a job that I could sit all day and play on my phone. I really thought after my comment they would have got up or something. If i did not need that tv I would have walked out of there and gone to Sam's, Cosco, or Best Buy to make my purchase. I have been dealing with Conns for over 25+ years. While the salesman and person in charge went to process my purchase a man came in to get a washer and dryer that was on display. My salesman wanted me to wait until he helped the assistant manager load the washer dryer combo. The two girls still sitting there on their phones . I told my salesman that I needed to get home because I had someone there that was going to unload the tv for me. I suggested that the girls should help the assistant manager that I was in a hurry. So she did and then she also helped the salesman load the tv into my car. We had to go back the next day to see if there was an adapter that would make my Bose fit the new tv and much to my surprise there was no one in the store and all employees were sitting down on their phones . Only this time a different lady was sitting in a chair near the front door. This lady was helping us until someone came in to pay their bill and then someone else got involved and told us our Bose would not fit the new tv .

Samsung Hides Negative Reviews

I have a 3.5 year old variation of this tv that just suffered the all to common power cycle death that plagues these sets. The tv was on and working, then it the screen just went black and it started turning on and off, but never truly booting. I went through all the normal steps to correct this issue (cold booting, un-plugging for a while, disconnecting all other wires, etc.) but it is non responsive. I suspect the power board has died, but the design of the tv requires you to virtually break the back off in order to replace this two Benjamin-ish board. I'm not sure it's worth "repairing" it to end up with a still broken tv. The colors were vibrant and the 120 htz panel made for very fluid motion while it was alive. The base tv sound was quite impressive for a flat panel. The Samsung internet channels are awesome! Overall, despite the beautiful picture quality and onboard features I can not recommend that anyone purchase a Samsung QLED unless Samsung resolves this design flaw and shoddy build quality that prematurely ends your tv's life.

Warning - Don't buy Samsung - Please read!

I purchased one of Samsung's 75" premium 8K televisions, but I've been facing issues with it since the beginning. I'm still struggling with the customer service department to get it repaired. They treat me like I'm a criminal because I want my $3,500 television, which is still under warranty, to be fixed instead of settling for a known defect. After installing the TV, it would consistently overheat and turn itself off and on and made a terrible buzzing/rattling sound when low-frequency sounds (deep voice or music) were played in a movie scene. Despite having reset the system and installing factory updates, the problem persisted. Despite having reset the system and installing factory updates, the problem persisted. My initial thought was that maybe old HDMI cables were the culprits, so I had them replaced but this did not resolve the issue. Even after replacing the cable box, the problem persisted, which led me to seek Samsung's service.A Samsung repairman visited my house, observed the issue, and replaced the circuit boards in the TV. Upon removing the old ones, he asked me to smell them, as they had a strong burnt odor. Replacing the circuit boards resolved the on-off problem. However, the buzzing and rattling noise persisted, which the repairman identified as a separate issue. He suggested that Samsung would only authorize a repair for this problem with a separate ticket.I called Samsung's customer service again. After being transferred to several representatives and being asked to explain the problem repeatedly for an hour and a half, a ticket was finally created. I waited for over a week for the scheduled service appointment, but nobody showed up. I called Samsung again and spent another hour on the phone to find out that Samsung had canceled the appointment without any explanation. When I asked who and why the appointment had been canceled, they said they didn't know. When I asked to reschedule my service appointment, the representative told me to reset the TV and install updates. I explained to them that I had already done this three times with previous techs I spoke to on the phone, but they insisted I do it again in order to receive service. I went through all the troubleshooting steps with the representative once more, but unfortunately, it did not solve the issue. I was told, "That should have fixed it, only 2% don't get fixed because those had double stick tape accidentally applied over the speakers which caused them to buzz". I suggested that mine must be one of those bad ones because it still buzzes terribly and asked if it could be replaced with another TV. They didn't agree to that and said if another technician was sent out and he didn't agree that the buzz was a factory defect, I would have to pay for the service call. I purchased the most expensive TV in my lifetime from Samsung (I'm 60 years old) and just want to enjoy it. I want to be able to turn off the subtitles on my new TV but can't because the audio is so distorted that one can't understand a lot of what is being said. Shame on Samsung!

[Rewarded Review] Glad We Went With Samsund Q70D Series

Just be careful not to flex it too much and you should be fine. I would save the box for future transportation. All in all, very satisfied with this purchase.
