We've had our Samsung EcoBubble Series 5+ Auto Dose for a few weeks now and have seen a drastic change in our laundry habits, all in good ways! The Auto Dose draw that takes our detergent and softener when and as it needs has been a godsend; it's actually saved us quite a fair bit of money as we were using WAY more liquid and detergent than we needed, the benefit is that our clothes still come out smelling great AND we have saved money on products. Ontop of that when we wash late at night to reduce energy consumption this machine also has a Silent Wash which again, is very quick and exactly what it says; Silent. All in all, we are very happy to have a decent, sturdy machine that's energy efficient to replace our old washer. Very happy with Samsung and the quality of this machine. We also realized that the motor now has a 20 YEAR warranty too! (It was previously 10 years) so again, another amazing little surprise. Along side that it's got a the free 5 year parts AND labour that we registered! Very happy customers.

Bought this to replace a dead LG. What an upgrade! The difference in quality is astounding despite being similar prices, it's so much quieter, even in a high floor apartment, and my family's clothes are a lot cleaner, I have a toddler and a sports obsessed primary school kid and this gets stains out no problem, with a really efficient rinse. Star of the show for me, is the app and laundry recipe, takes all the hard work out of laundry; you just tell the app what you're washing, colour and how dirty it is and it recommends the ideal cycle, all you have to do is download the cycle and press start. Who knew that the addition of a little door that you can open at any time during a wash cycle should you forget anything (socks, detergent etc...) would be so useful?? This machine is certainly well on its way to becoming a valued family appliance. Having upgraded from a different model, the Samsung seems so much more efficient already and certainly whisper quiet - so we can still hold a conversation in the middle of a spin cycle. The 'A' energy rating is especially of note. I will be keeping an eye on its energy usage over the next few weeks but have noticed already the savings on my electricity. Having it connected to 'Smarter Things' means I can pre load the machine the night before then select the wash cycle remotely; an added bonus. Yes, this is an older model but I am none the less impressed with the functionality of this product. Design features are quite basic but functional. I would say that the Anthracite version might look better owing to the rather large black door in the middle of a white machine (it does stand out!!). The screen is perfectly legible and easy to understand, and the scroll knob is distinct in its selection. The touch sensor buttons require you to press for a little longer than I'd have thought (the machine tells you to 'press for longer') but this is in no way detracts from its functionality and is something I will get used to. You'll definitely know when your washing has finished as the machine will play a polyphonic symphony on completion of a wash cycle. This stops as soon as you open the door. When the cycle is complete, the door lock instantly disengages. It's about time we moved away from the old '1 minute wait' at the end of a wash cycle. All in all, a very well conceptualised machine. Well done Samsung!!

The machine is quite loud and moves during the spin and the drawer comes out. When using a powder in the soup dispenser (stain remover) it stayed there and just went to a hard lump. The music when turning on and at the end of a cycle is annoying (and pointless). I accidentally turned the control button during a cycle, it wouldn’t go back to continue the cycle (after trying a few times pressing OK) it went onto a 2 plus hour cycle which was so annoying as it was nearly finished. I also like it because it is a triple A+++ washing machine, so saving on the pounds for the electric as we all need to do now. So in general I think this an excellent machine from Samsung I do not know if they could put anything else on the machine as it's got everything that you need. Going to the showroom that sells washing machines and have a look I think you will be surprised how well built and the quality of this washing machine. I will recommend this washing machine to family, friends, and colleagues.

We were weighing up this against a similar Bosch model (my parents had good things to say about the Bosch machines) but in the end we plumped for the Samsung as it's 'A' rated (vs 'C' on for the Bosch) and was a tiny bit quieter based on the specs. We weren't disappointed! It is very quiet, you can have a conversation right next to it and not raise your voice in the slightest and the 'base' settings are really easy to select. Having said that, you can also customise the settings, should you feel the need, really easily with just a few button presses. Only feature I do like about this machine is the add to wash door BUT for some reason this randomly releases after a wash, when I reload and start, it comes up with a notice saying door is open, and I didn’t open it. Detergent tray also stays wet most of the time so you need to leave open like washer door. And the door hinges cannot be changed over like the dryer can. Overall, terrible washer that doesn’t wash well - just like the matching dryer that doesn’t dry well. My old top loader did a better job.
