I would highly recommend not choosing this line of TVs. We purchased directly off of their website in December of '21 and despite it working perfectly, the TV died last month, suffering from a known issue that Samsung isn't interested in correcting; a LED Backlight failure resulting in a faint/no picture with sound. No amount of YouTube handiwork, or article support was able to correct it, and the only option Samsung provided is a $500+ service to "diagnose" the issue, not including parts, labor, etc. This is a complete failure as a company to stand behind their products and support the customer. A product should not have this low of a shelf-life for the price paid.

I've had the 85" Class Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN90A (2021) for 18 months. Biggest difference is in rewatching Disney films. The HDR while watching The Incredibles really kicks in when Jack Jack goes into his fire mode. It's just a brighter flame. Same with brightor highlighted scenes in Encanto or Coco or other Disney films. Sunlight scenes actually made me squint a little cuz it was just brighter than it used to be. Twilight scenes are more realistic. Not all films use HDR effectively, but Disney animation appears to. Baseball, football are more normal, but very sharp. My chair is at a 45 degree angle but still very easy to get a clear bright image. We don't do video games so no need for the 2022 version. We had a 75" that failed, and 85" is pretty big, but if you have room, it's a great tv, esp at reduced priced.

BEST QLED TV EVER!!!

While OLED delivers better performance in many respects – offering pixel-perfect lighting control and perfect blacks – the technology still commands a premium price, personally that is something I was not prepared to pay for, with that said Samsung's refinements of the technology have narrowed the gap considerably in recent years. And, it's worth noting, that when it comes to overall brightness and vibrancy of colors, my TV makes everyone's jaw drop EVERYTIME we watch a relevant scene. The second key winning point for this Samsung QLED TV is the Tizen smart TV operating system. Samsung's proprietary smart TV platform may have a funky name, but it boasts one of the most polished smart TV experiences available, from the refined interface, to the integration of smart home controls and premium features like ambient mode. My Samsung TV has also improved the voice interaction aspects, bolstering the lackluster Bixby assistant with support for Amazon Alexa and the ability to connect to Amazon and Google smart speakers. The realness of the images on the screen are still freaking my wife, after two weeks of having the TV... Everybody at home LOVES movie nights :)All in all look for the right deal that fits in your budget, and you will not be disappointed with a Samsung QLED TV.Enjoy!

Disappointing Picture Quality and Buggy Poor Quality User Interface
13 April 2022

Initially I bought the Samsung 9-series (top of their Neo QLED 4K line) 65" QN65QN90A to replace my 15 plus year old Panasonic Plasma TV, and was beyond disappointed and preferred the picture clarity of the 15 year old plasma over the brand new Samsung, so returned it and researched further and bought a competing technology OLED and found the Samsung Neo QLED pixel bleed-over from bright pixels into dark pixels across an entire screen full of typical video picture is far more noticeable than you might initially believe, and, like me, probably wouldn't notice in a showroom with all the bright overhead lights creating reflections and glare, but becomes noticeably annoying in the real-world dark evenings viewing. I bought the competing LG OLED C1 - immediately noticed the drastic improvement in picture quality/clarity of the LG OLED over the Samsung Neo QLED - LG OLED is what ideal HDTV picture quality is expected to be - perfect blacks unaffected by bright pixels bordering the dark pixels eliminates the slight fuzziness / blooming of the Samsung you might overlook in the showroom. The Samsung user interface is also full of programming bugs that haven't been corrected by Samsung over at least 3 separate model years. Talking with a neighbor with a low end Samsung from 3 model yearsprior, I found they have the exact same Samsung GUI interface glitches, bugs and poor functionality as the 2021 model year high end 9-series Neo QN90A , meaning Samsung hasn't bothered to correct and improve simple lines of programming code for over 4 years. For instance, certain Settings submenus would be randomly grayed out / disabled for no reason (including primary functions like Picture for changing Brightness/Contrast/Color Mode etc, and Broadcast for scanning over-the-air OTA HDTV channels - simply turn off the Samsung TV power and turn back on a second or 2 later and the menu option becomes enabled again. Many advanced functions deep in the nested Samsung menus would be grayed out or when selected say 'This feature not available' - leaving you unsure if it is because of the random menu disabled programming bugs or the feature really isn't available on this model (then why would it be listed in this model's menu structure, easy to hide with simple programming and model-specific 'properties' files). The Samsung program guide often defaults back to the eastern time zone even though the TV is connected to the internet, showing the wrong TV Guide time period, once you change a channel, Samsung logic then re-reads the time from whichever source (internet, OTA broadcast signal, internal TV BIOS clock) and shows the correct time and program guide time period again - there is no problem with any other computer or device connected to the internet and the router timeclock remains with the correct time while Samsung programming logic is confused. For OTA channels, you can't manually add a single channel, Samsung needs to rescan all channels which takes longer and you lose far distant channels that come in and out of signal strength. Your favorite channels also get reset by Samsung's scanning and possibly other functions. There were numerous other inexcusable Samsung glitches I've already purged from my memory. All of which my neighbor with a lower end model 3 years earlier has the same Samsung programming bugs. The remote control trys to be minimalist with few buttons - that simply translates to a lack of quick functionality while being constantly irritating to use. Do yourself a huge favor and go with OLED technology, or at minimum avoid Samsung's buggy user interface with another brand.

Disappointing for console gaming

My review applies for the 43" version.I bought this tv as it has stellar reviews or so I thought. It turns out that the reviews were for the 50" and larger sizes.I primarily use it to play on my ps5 and xbox series x and it is disappointing in that regard. It is supposed to have one hdmi 2.1 port however none of the ports is VRR compatible therefore all 4 ports are basically hdmi 2.0.It is supposed to support 4k 120Hz ... but actually unlike the larger sizes of the same qn90a serie, the 43" doesn't. Maybe it's for the better since the screen has an abysmal pixel response time. I am not a professional FPS player but even my untrained eyes can see the smudginess and blurriness of the picture when I play racing games or any game with moving objects. This also ... MoreMy review applies for the 43" version.I bought this tv as it has stellar reviews or so I thought. Maybe it's for the better since the screen has an abysmal pixel response time. I am not a professional FPS player but even my untrained eyes can see the smudginess and blurriness of the picture when I play racing games or any game with moving objects. This also applies for the full array local dimming as you can see the brightness change but with a noticeable lag. Another issue is the colors shifting with the varying brightness. It is extremely visible for the yellow colors where depending on the brightness of the screen, the yellow can get a slight green shade. The solution? Set the local dimming to the lowest setting... But then why buy this tv if you can't use all of its features? Better buy a cheaper one.The cherry on top is the color accuracy. By default, in game mode (and even movie mode), the picture has a distinct reddiness (basically all colors have a red tint) and for the life of me I couldn't correct that. The only option would be to use some professional grade equipment to calibrate the tv but the cost is not worth it.The only reason I give this tv 2 stars is because when I use it as a computer monitor or to watch a movie on netflix or disney plus it does an acceptable job. Maybe because I bought at a discounted price too :).

Home Theater Experience at Home
9 November 2024

I'm thrilled with my new Samsung 75" Neo QLED TV! The picture quality is stunning, with vibrant colors and deep contrasts that make watching movies feel like a theater experience. The sound is clear and fills the room, which adds so much to the enjoyment. Setting it up was simple, and the sleek design fits perfectly in my living room. It's been an amazing upgrade for family movie nights, and I’m really happy with this purchase. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-notch viewing experience at home!

Not immune to burn in
13 January 2024

I bought this TV back in 2021, and have had ample time to use it to provide a review, which I don't normally do. The interface, picture quality, brightness, and speed of this TV is amazing. Exactly what I'd expect out of a $3000 TV when I bought it. What I didn't expect, is to have burn in on this Neo Qled TV after 2.5 years. The burn in is actually one of the Samsung input screens and regardless of what I'm watching, it's visible in the background. Upon trying to find out about a warranty for burn in, which in the UK has some models warrantied for 10 years, mine has a 1 year warranty and I would have to have it serviced and pay for it. Don't be fooled about no burn in on these TVs which is why I got it in the first place. No burn in from 400+ hours of the same game with HUD not really changing, but burn in from a factory screen. Highly disappointed.

Will Not Honor Warranty
19 January 2024

I bought this TV from best buy Dec. 2022. I noticed while watching any live sports the picture was very pixelated and jittery. As recommended I troubleshooted and tried several different sources and even changed internet providers to see if it would make a difference and to rule out slow internet speeds causing the issues. I finally started a service ticket with Samsung where the technician on the phone with me took over the TV with remote access and confirmed that it is highly possible there could be a defect in the TVs panel. I have now been attempting to set up a service appointment since Nov. 2023 to have it fixed(warranty expires at the end of Jan. 2024). Beyond just a nearly unmatched high dynamic range image, the 120hz refresh rate allows for one of the best TV gaming experiences I have ever had. Forget LG's OLED. If you are looking for a reasonably priced TV that can pretty much do it all and do it well, look no further than the Samsung NEO QLED line of TVs.
