Another let down is though the tablet has fast charging capacity, the charger supply with accessories is low watt old telephone charger .So be prepared to purchase fast charger as addition if you haven't got one already. Overall very good product with support for the lasted Android13 update as at time of review.Good for whole family as long as you avoid the 32gb version.super sound with Dolby Atmos, decent display screen size .Good response time and performance, wouldn't disappoint when playing games.

This is a good tablet with excellent capabilities. The volume controls are hard to operate, but not impossible. The one I returned was so hard to control that I considered volume control to be impossible. Therefore, I consider hard volume control to be a problem with the Galaxy Tab A8 model. The only other thing is not, strictly speaking, a Samsung issue, but a little forethought on their part could have prevented it. My previous Tab A has a very slightly smaller screen, such that the excellent leather cover will not fit my new Tab A8. There is also no one making a good leather cover for my new tablet. Also, since there is only a very fractional increase in the size of the new one, the increase is not discernable. If the new tablet had been made the same size as the ... I use my tablet every single day, for much of the day. I use it for business, fun and to keep up with my family and friends. That is why I need a durable tablet. This is a great Tablet overall. It was extremely easy to setup and move my information from my old tablet to this new one, I downloaded an app and it took very little time or effort and all of the information that I need was moved. The design of this tablet is nice. It feels good to hold and it feels like a quality tablet with some weight to it. The apps and how to navigate is also pretty easy, sometimes I have to search for something, however, that's not often and searching on this tablet is also very easy to do. Overall, I definitely recommend this tablet. It works for everything that you need and the quality is very good.

Then it struggles to do a few things that it trys to do but ends up just not giving the consumer the experience I think they would want. The A8 absolutely hits it out of the park for design, display, sound and quality all for the lower price point. The display is amazing for streaming and scrolling through social media. It's vibrant and very punchy. The sound is great for media of all kinds and it has the benefit of having audio being produced out of multiple speakers. One item to be aware of is the microSD slot has a cover with small home that requires a little pin tool (included) to pop out of the case. The tool is captured between a couple of tabs in the box's cardboard insert and is easily missed. This arrangement seems overly complex compared to any other tablet I've worked with. My main criticism of the 8 Samsung is the Android updates stopped with Android V 4. I'm hoping the A8 can accommodate a few new Android versions before the hardware can no longer take OS updates. Time will tell.

There are times when I power it down to conserve the battery, knowing that I won't be using it for a while. When I power it back up, when it gets to the log in screen, the screen rather quickly goes off. So unless I'm carefully watching the boot up progress ... Repair efforts do not succeed. There's a zero byte file that seems to be the center fo the problem, but I can't delete any of the files or even reformat the card (I've also tried from Windows and Linux computers). I assume the card itself is at fault, but as I don't have a proper lab to perform failure analysis, I can't rule out a fault in the tablet's card interface. If it happens similarly with another card, then I'll suspect the tablet. I'll add a comment to this review if I have a repeat incident.
