The base is incredibly loud and shakes the whole house on high. I also appreciate night mode which brings the noise down so others are not disturbed. The upfiring speakers really make a difference as well as the unique way Atmos processes sound objects. Music is also much more vivid and truly immerses you. I was able to pick these up for half the retail price at a wholesale club on sale and the Best Buy clearance rack (new never sold rear speakers).

The base is incredibly loud and shakes the whole house on high. I also appreciate night mode which brings the noise down so others are not disturbed. Dolby Atmos really enhances the shows and movies that I watch, it truly brings the action to life. The upfiring speakers really make a difference as well as the unique way Atmos processes sound objects. Music is also much more vivid and truly immerses you. After doing some research I found that the rear speakers will not play on certain equalizer settings but this was easily corrected.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend Samsung speakers. I was able to pick these up for half the retail price at a wholesale club on sale and the Best Buy clearance rack (new never sold rear speakers).

By connecting the soundbar to the SmartThings app, you can also control many functions inside the app which is cool.Airplay and Chromecast music streaming work great, whether you’re using the soundbar alone or including the soundbar inside of a speaker group for either service. However, my biggest disappointment with the soundbar and the reason why I didn’t give it the highest marks is the lack of use as an Alexa Device. All the advertising on the description page for the soundbar says that it “Works with Alexa” and can be used to execute Alexa commands which lead me to believe it had an active mic to listen for and run Alexa commands and requests just like an Echo device. However, this Soundbar does NOT have that ability at all. This was one of the biggest determining factors for me to buy this Soundbar since in my use case I use it mainly for music and wanted to be able to have it replace the echo device I have in my “outdoor living room” as well as to be able to be included as part of an Alexa/Echo speaker group for playing music - this soundbar can do neither. This was a huge disappointment for me and something anyone considering this soundbar should know. If this is not a feature you care about, then the soundbar definitely excels in every other way!

However, it is disappointing that such an expensive soundbar has these issues.I suspect it is better when paired to a Samsung TV rather than other brands. Samsung seems to make its soundbars primarily for use with its own TV's, so buyers beware.

Samsung knocked it out of the park again and I can only imagine what the future will bring.

After checking the limit of the TV mount and finding out it’s 125 pounds, then checking the max limit of the soundbar brackets at 25 lbs., I decided to try and It worked out fine, but I would suggest spending a good deal of time at the local home improvement store finding the right bolts, nuts, and washers to secure it.The bottom line is that I can recommend this soundbar for its beautiful sound, adjustable tone settings, variety of sound modes, HDMI ARC option which syncs without a hitch and the other options available. I especially appreciate the vocal option. When turned on it increases the dialog sound so it’s easier to hear over the music in the background. Well done, Samsung!
