Reading reviews, there appear to be many people fighting various settings issues.3. Please release a 42ā 1800R curved version of this monitor next year with the bugs worked out. Even better if you figure out how to eliminate OLED burn in issues for those of us that have productivity uses but OLED is secondary for a curved more stable large 4K 16:9 monitor.4. This review section is almost garbage because it includes comments about several different monitors due to how you have structure the monitor selection menu above. It makes it very difficult to see thoughts on the device we are actually interested in.

Purchased August 2020. Used until October 2022. Now it won't turn on. No explanation. Just doesn't work. It was plugged in to a new surge protector since day 1. Now Samsung says that it will be $219 to repair it. For an $800 monitor, the warranty should be longer than 1 year. It should be at least 3 years. And even then, a monitor should last much longer. I've never moved the monitor from its location since setup. It has been used in a household of only adults - I am over 30 with no kids. There is no reason that it should be dead. It seems unreasonable that Samsung will not support this monitor, when used properly, for more than 1 year. But as I look around at my Samsung equipment, everything has issues. I like the specs which are unmatched but have several cons/suggestions:- I have DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 sources connected to it and it won't wake up to another source when went to sleep on one of them. Power saving and Eco off. Have to manually wake up and select the source.- There is no way to enable auto game mode and have crosshair displayed without manually enabling it.- The wobbliest stand in the industry. Such a letdown for a premium product. I don't believe anyone actually tested it and approved, I wouldn't. If you can't engineer anything better, copy what Acer Predator has - that one is what the stand should be, even has a handy carrying loop.- Cable management is non-existent- I would rather prefer it to be flat. There are two reasons I wound up returning the monitor. And while they're technically both personal preference. The latter should be something you consider in your decision.The first was simply screen size. Sitting as close as I do at my desk the extra vertical real estate and lack of curve to create the immersive peripheral feel lead me to moving my head to see things rather than keeping my eyes centered on the screen. Shoot, the initial setup for this monitor took nearly an hour because the app was being buggy on my phone. Waking the monitor is slow, changing settings is slow. The whole user interface is clunky and irritating. But the picture quality is fantastic. I will eventually but another one of these for creativity but for now, I prefer an ultrawide for gaming. Because my reasons for returning were personal preference, i wouldn't say I DON'T recommend it. Just make sure it's exactly what you want first.

This is the perfect monitor to get an amazing experience.Also watch 4k documentaries, and significant software development, both benefiting from a full, crisp 4k resolution with dark and rich contrast including black levels.One thing to note, this monitor doesn't look good in MacOS without creating a custom profile that is calibrated. The operating system is slow, making it less than ideal for use as a TV or monitor. The image quality is excellent, but unfortunately, the monitor struggles with input detection, especially when switching between HDMI and DP. It takes several minutes for the monitor to detect an HDMI signal, and the timer on the top left always times out before finally recognizing the input from my laptop. Please do your research on this monitor, it is not worth the headache or hassle you will go through, menu button unreliable trash, flickering, black screens and ports not working properly. It has been sitting for like a whole year gathering dust. When I did get help from a samsung expert everything they asked me to do failed. During this time frame my warranty just had expired (1 month from the date of expiration.) Samsung called me and said they could fix it for $300 to $350, I asked the rep what was wrong with it and they told me, we do not know we would have to check. So you are telling me I paid $700 for this monitor and you want me to send you it and pay you $300 for you to fix something that you don't know? So you are telling me if it is a simple fix I'll still get charged $300? Not worth the money at all, my brother has a Asus monitor in the same price range, actually less that has godly performance and quality. PLEASE BE ADVISE OF THIS WARNING, do your research, look it up, this monitor has MULTIPLE problems. It is absolutely not worth the price especially when they are ready to charge you $300 for a fix.
