All the functions suddenly started working. It automatically detected dolby atmos on Netflix movies and started displaying atmos enabled on screen. Sound is 100 times better than optical cable.Movies gives the feel of a theater and the bass is amazing. I can hear the smallest details in movies and voices are super clear. I think it all got to do with having a proper sound output source.Love this product.

Provides excellent sound at all levels and settings. At its best with dialogue and enhanced movie settings like Dolby Atmos. Don't realise how good until you play a movie and the enhanced sound effects kick-in. For most functions compares very favourably with higher end and more epensive models. Most people's hearing would have trouble telling difference and would only notice the difference in a side-by-side comparison.

We purchased the Q600A after considering several soundbars from brands including Sony, Yamaha and Klipsch and have honestly been pretty stoked with it over the past month.There will be better-sounding soundbars for music (at higher price points), but the Q600A is still really, really good and it can also get really loud. For movies and shows the Q600A is fantastic, the centre channel makes a huge difference for dialogue.Flip sides are that you don't get a full Atmos environment with the Q600A (not on other models too anyway unless you pay a couple of hundreds extra), and the bass, which can be slightly lacking for those with larger homes. For our apartment, however, this is not an issue and it more than does the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this just the other week and I must say how blown away I am with the sound quality. Samsung you have really done it this time. The volume levels are quite sufficient and loud enough to be heard from outside the house but still quiet to not cause a noise complaint. The different sound settings come in handy when switching from surround sound for normal tv and movies to gamer mode when gaming. Very light and easy to move, clear sound and easy to use. Just absolutely extraordinary
I got this sound bar on sale so it was $475.20 down from $799. It sounds great I have it connected to my pc at my desk. Unfortunately through windows 10 I cant use the upwards firing speakers even after buying Dolby access for windows, just something to look out for. The subwoofer, while it wont rattle the windows, is so much better than not having it and sounds great for the price. This is a huge upgrade from my old small speakers. I am going to get the SWA-9100S/XY rear speaker channels this week.
Setup was just plain easy!Multiple options for connecting to your TV, TV recognises and automatically defaults audio to soundbar, remote is nice and simple, Bluetooth is easy to configure if you want to stream music directly from your phone. Opening the box to watching a movie was about 5 minutes!Sound is excellent. Voices in movies are nice and clear and well defined from the background noise. No more turning the volume up and down constantly throughout movies!Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. The sound is sublime, the setup was easy, and the unit has that well built quality feel to it. Looks good sitting in front of the TV too.Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a seamless integration into their current TV setup.
This soundbar is better than I expected from the RTING review. It performs flawlessly but I havent paid any attention to the Dolby Atmos function as I have high cathedral ceilings and I suspect it doesnt really work with those. I was tossing up between the Q600A and the less expensive but equally good Samsung A650XY soundbar. What sold me on the 600 is that it has 4k pass-through on the HDMI input/output, whereas the 650 has only 2k pass-through. I was worried that the ARC function wouldnt work and I would have to rely on pass-)through. It did work but it gave me peace of mind. The Q600 has a high recommended price of $799 but the sales guy told me to wait and Samsung would drop $300 off it for a manufacturers special. I didnt really know what he meant but figured it out. The booklet needs attention by Samsung. All in all, I am happy with it. Superb sound and so easy to use. Good work Samsung.
Had to get it fixed after only working for two hours! We also couldn’t return the product at the store to replace it and had to get it repaired at an external repair centre. The repair centre was very inconvenient to get to and only open during work hours Monday to Friday. It took a couple of weeks just to sort out the logistics of getting it to the repair centre as we both work full time and nowhere close to the repair centre. Considering the soundbar only worked for two hours after we bought it, the process to get the product of what we had paid for was very strenuous and unnecessary.
Samsung is by far the best in home entertainment!From the moment I turned it on it was synced to the TV without me needing to do anything. Being a Samsung phone user I really wanted to have a Samsung TV and Soundbar, and I wasn't disappointed.Set up was beyond simple: plug HDR cable into the TV, plug the power cable into the wall and it was all connected perfectly.This soundbar is perfect for the size of my living room (5m x 3m).Crystal Clear high frequency, clarity in the mid-level and booming bass from the subwoofer.The subwoofer has it's own volume control so you can add or decrease depending on what you are listening to.I would recommend this soundbar to everyone.
