Only one thing I dont like is that it is a heavy lens, which together with the A7iii and the grip can feel quite heavy; Some of us migrated to this system just because of the DSLR weight, but in case of this combination it weighs almost the same as my old 5Dmkii with a 70-200 mounted. But only that, as far as the lens is concerned, I am happy !!

I love it. It is noisy like it is struggling to focus but it does focus sharp.
In love with this lens! The sharpness in the A7iii is amazing, the focus is fast in both photos and video. Only one thing I dont like is that it is a heavy lens, which together with the A7iii and the grip can feel quite heavy; Some of us migrated to this system just because of the DSLR weight, but in case of this combination it weighs almost the same as my old 5Dmkii with a 70-200 mounted. But only that, as far as the lens is concerned, I am happy !!
I've been shooting with this lens for over a month and have done multiple graduation shoots with it.The good: For the price this lens has exceptional build quality, pleasing bokeh, and great sharpness when stepped down. I don't think you could find a more flattering 35mm for this price. Color rendition is nice and photos have that 3D pop associated with good micro-contrast.The bad: The lens struggles to nail the subject's eyes and will often focus on the nose or chest(shooting on Sony a7iv) and will hunt when facing backlit situations. I noticed the first photo in a burst is consistently out of focus - it seems like the green box shows up before the lens is done finding fine focus. This is my only samyang/rokinon autofocus lens so I haven't bought the lens station, it's disappointing that you need to spend another $60 to make this lens usable.When editing in lightroom the lens profile is not automatically applied - not a big deal but annoying when you use multiple lenses in the same shoot. Have not had this problem with any other third party lens I own.
There was a problem.The lens works for a few minutes, then stops the focus. If the lens is pointing upwards, it refuses to focus automatically. Only rebooting the camera helps. This is not an option for work. The lens behaves like this on Sony A7S and Sony a6000 cameras. Problems in the work. What to do?
Such an inconsistent lens, it doesnt focus sometimes and just does nothing. Can be sharp sometimes but usually just a horrible quality product.
Excellent non-native lens for Sony FE cameras.
