Bought for new digital camera that has burst facility. The write speed is excellent and at 11 frames per second there is no lag. I have no idea just how many pictures that this card can hold. Just fired off 1200 frames on holiday at very fine Jpeg and camera still indicates 9999 left! For the price this must be the bargain of the year. Of course there are cheaper options but with this brand name you are buying with much more security and confidence.

I got two of them so I can shoot video with a backup card. I decided to go for the bigger cards just to have the extra room. Last thing I want is to run out of space while on a video shoot. I also went back and forth on the idea of getting two 64 GB instead of one 128 GB card in case something happens to the card. Unfortunately, one thing led to another, and in rummaging through papers, I knocked it to the floor where my dog chewed it to pieces. These aren't cheap, and either is the dog. This is a fast r/w speed card that I keep in the #1 slot in my A7r3 (the other slot doesn't take fast cards). I had a 128 GB card, but even at full RAW, can't imagine filling it in the amount of time it takes to get pictures to a hard drive. Good card, glad prices are slowly coming down.

Gee This is FAST!
25 May 2023

I've had other SanDisk Extreme PRO memory cards and they've all worked well. But they certainly weren't of the UHS-II variety! I purchased this because it was recommended for use with the new Canon R10 camera I had recently purchased. As I was loading my video into iMovie, I was caught by surprise at how fast this card is! It is truly a work enhancement for efficiency in video creation! Thankfully, B&H was selling it at nearly half the original price at the time of my purchase. For this I am very grateful! But this is an awesome product! Get one!

Incredibly fast, performs as claimed
10 April 2021

This card performs as claimed and easily met my expectations. SanDisk claims this card can read at 300 MB/s and write at 260 MB/s; I got about 290 MB/s read and 250 MB/s write using a Sony MRW-S1. And this isn't like many SSDs and flash drives which slow down after continuously writing a few gigabytes of data: I ran a full erase on the card to test it and got a consistent 250 MB/s from start to finish. The entire card was overwritten in less than five minutes. These things are fast enough that many cameras cannot take full advantage of the card's performance. I use this card in an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III, where it's about 50% faster to clear the buffer after a high-speed RAW+JPEG burst compared to a UHS-I card, but that's only about 140-150 MB/s. That said, you definitely will get the claimed speeds when used with a UHS-II SD card reader on a PC, up to triple the speed of a UHS-I card.My only complaint is the cost, but if you're a serious photographer who needs maximum performance from an SD card, I can easily recommend the SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-II.

SanDisk 128gb Extreme Pro UHS-II SDXC Memory Card
15 July 2022

Recently, I have moved up from this same card in the 64gb version. My cameras shoot quicker, and I need cards with more memory capacity, that respond as quickly to the fast shutters and buffers in my cameras. I do not know of more reliable, indestructible, reusable cards on the market today. SanDisk cards are known for their quality and reliability. These cards are great in the new OM Systems OM-1 camera and any camera that requires fast SD UHS-II cards.

Sandisk Excellence as Usual
13 February 2023

Sandisk cards have been so good for me, it is easy to get complacent about their excellence. This is the fastest card I have ever had and works great, as I had hoped. I am not disappointed. There are faster SDXC II cards, but not by much and I got this card for a competitive price, which made the decision easy.I got this for my new A7 IV. I like the larger camera sensor size on the Mark IV, but contrary to common sense, it took me some time to realize I needed faster cards than I need for my A7 III.The files are larger (about 1/3 larger) so there is more to write. I had just moved from V30 (video write speed) to V60 cards. I find though, that this V90 card makes a difference...enough so that I would say I need it for the A7 IV.Other than continuous burst ... MoreSandisk cards have been so good for me, it is easy to get complacent about their excellence. If you need continuous burst shooting, a CFx-A card is the better choice. (Don't buy CFx-B cards -- they don't fit)Hopefully, CFx-A cards will soon drop into the price range of their CFx-B cousins. When that happens, I will purchase those cards and say likely goodbye to SDXC II cards forthe A7 IV. Note, as of this writing, there are now 4 manufacturers making CFx-A, but not yet SanDisk.

Stepped up to a higher speed SD chip for action
9 January 2022

In all my years using SD storing digital cameras, I've only owned Lexar, Sony, and SanDisk chips. Performance wise for the Sony and SanDisk, I've had no issues. With the Lexar, there were intermittent problems with my Nikon D810 saving properly. The Sony Tough chips are slightly oversized, so they fit snugly in the D850 and Z7II. No operational issues but if you want a faster speed, you're going to pay a top price. The SanDisk is a great alternative, with rock solid performance, high speed, and fair price. I'm not careless with my chips, so the Sony is nice to have but for me not really necessary. By the process of elimination, it's the SanDisk that's now my go to memory chip company.

Stops Recording with Canon C70 at S&F @ 120 FPS
6 November 2022

This card will stop recording with very high storage recording types. I have 2 of the 128 GB 300 MB/s SanDisk Extreme PRO SD cards and they are tanks. Never stops recording, but for some reason with this 256 GB one, it does. Not sure if I got a bad card or if it has something to do with the storage capacity. This happens with my Canon C70 when shooting at XF AVC, 4K, 120 FPS, and Clog2. If I am not shooting in S&F mode and just shooting at normal mode, it works well. So I will be keeping this, but will be using my 128 GB cards for slow mo footage and using this for talking heads.
