I did not realize I could not use the camera to transfer footage to my computer, nor did I realize that in the whole of Denver there is only one place that has these card readers in stock. Best Buy, No. Target, No. Walmart, No. I went to a speciality camera store and they had one in stock. This was unbelievably stressful and inconvenient and I wish Lens Rentals would have made more effort to explain the challenges of getting a CFast reader and offered on to rent with the card. Very frustrating experience.

This review is particularly for people who would like to use this with Blackmagic cameras.This “SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 Memory Card” has been my go-to for two years with my BMCC6KPro. It is fast enough to effortlessly handle hours of raw and ProRes footage with various settings. I suggest getting two cards of your preferred capacity, splitting the load, and having a smooth shooting with one and downloading with the other one workflow. This workflow is a bit pricier, but the convenience is worth it.

I bought an Nikon D810 camera along with a 64gb card here, and I had to return the D810 because there were issue with the camera or maybe the card. The camera stopped working. I changed CF cards to see if it was the card, but it didnt change the camera not working err problem. Then I got a replacement D810 camera, used the same 64gb card, did fine today taking photos, but upon uploading, the card quit uploading half way through. Now Im thinking maybe the card is bad too. My nikon D4 says the 64gb card is not able to be read. First time my scandisk cards had an issue. I will send in for replacement since I just bought the card, hopefully scandisk will replace it. I still like the cards, but this one was a dud, which is why Im generous in giving it a 4star.

On a recent trip to Yellowstone National Park, I did, however, run out of memory on my 128gb CF card. Too mays geyser videos I suppose. I opted to upgrade to a new 256gb Sandisk CF card. I have not been sorry, as it functions flawlessly every time I use it. If there was anything that might be considered a problem with this card, it is the fact that neither of my two card readers would read the card. I upgraded to the Sandisk Imagemate All In One USB 3.0 card reader and no more problems. I am extremely pleased with this 256gb CF card, as I have been with previous Sandisk cards. Wow...what a difference the speed capabilities this card makes with my continuous shoot mode I used to get very frustrated with my Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB 90MBs when shooting in this mode. The constant busy signal kept me from getting those perfect candid shots my customers so desired. Now I capture these moments effortlessly. As to the transfer speed, I used to walk away from my computer due to time constraints. Now with faster transfer capabilities I am able to start utilizing my photos within Photoshop in a matter of minutes. My only regret is that I didnt purchase this compact flash card much sooner Look at all those potential candid photos I missed

This means After shooting a burst, your 7D is ready for more photos about four seconds sooner if you use the 160 MBs card. This might be significant to some photographers. And, of course, copying 32 GB of data to your PC will probably be much faster with the 160 MBs card, as long as you have a high quality USB 3.0 card reader my Mac only has USB 2, so I could not test this.For my needs, I should have saved my money and purchased a 60 MBs or 90 MBs card, but I am going to keep this card and the old card will be my backup. No complaints whatsoever about this product, but my recommendation would be to buy an Extreme or Extreme Pro 90 MBs model for this camera.Final comments First, SanDisk has three kinds of Extreme cardsExtreme 60 MBsExtreme Pro 90 MBsExtreme PRO 160 MBsB H does a great job of letting you know which SanDisk card youre buying. does a poor job, with pricing and markings that dont make sense. I purchased this card to use in my Nikon D800. I shoot a lot of timelapse images . . . up to the full 999 and the files on this 36megapixel camera are large. To get the interval I wanted I needed a card that could handle large files quickly and not allow the camera to fill its buffer. This card works very well. All files are written with no delay, increasing my chances of obtaining a smooth timelapse. Another advantage is the download speed of the card. With so many large files to process, it is nice to have a card that can match the speed of a USB 3 on a fully loaded Mac. Workflow becomes so much faster and fun. I will be purchasing an additional card.
I love the speed of these cards. I do a lot of bird photography with an emphasis on catching birds in flight. That means I am usually shooting at very high frame rates and often in long bursts. With these cards, I can shoot several hundred frames in a burst without worrying about whether the camera will get bogged down. Plus, two of these cards in my Nikon D5 will let me shoot 5.4 thousand pictures in the raw format. Even on the busiest of days, Im not going to shoot that many shots. So I never have to worry about running out of space. Finally, theyre extremely rugged. I accidentally dropped a camera while using these cards from a great height. The camera, the cards, and the images on the cards all survived without any problems.
