I had bought a 2tb samsung 980 pro when it first released in 2021 and paid $400. Almost filled up the space with ps4 collection alone. Then this one came out and shelled out another $500 for this 4TB ssd. I love that this one comes witha a heatsink and is faster and twice the storage! :) pricey but worth it imo.

I picked up a WD 4tb ssd during a flash sale at Best Buy and installed it in my PS5 console without any issues. My PS5 picked up the new ssd and after formatting the drive, I was able to add my saved games to it and still have a very adequate amount of storage left over so that I will likely never need to upgrade my ssd in the future.This 4tb version has the heat sink attached which allows for the use of the original PS5 cover.I am very happy with the quality and function of my new 4tb WD ssd.

I love this drive for my PlayStation 5. 2TB drive wasn't enough since game files are getting bigger. So I upgrade to this 4TB model. The read/ write speeds are decent but not hitting the 7300 nor 6300. But it's still good enough for PS5. I recommend.

With so many large data games adding SSD memory is a must. The WD Black 4tb was the perfect companion and very easy to install/format and access within the PS5 menu. It’s fast and games play smoothly from the card. Made my PS5 a 5tb system and paired with a 5tb WB Black external my system runs with 10tb of storage. More than enough for any games you may want to play.Highly recommend and I stand behind the product
Bought this for my PS5 and very happy with the decision. The 4TB option was definitely on the expensive side, but worth it for the added storage. Installation was very easy, and formatting was a breeze. I loaded some games onto the drive and they perform flawlessly. Definitely recommend for gaming.
PlayStation 5 comes with about half a terabyte of storage highly recommend upgrading SSID memory to any other size other than the base. Installing is a piece of cake. Look on YouTube for plenty of helpful gamers who show how to do it in less tham 5 mins. Have fun!

It works great I was able to save all my games to the memory card and it was fairly easy to install. This adds more than 4x the stoage to the PS5 and you can play games off of it well. The install was a breeze, removing the top cover is the worst part. If you have trouble with the install, WD has an installation video on their website. I highly recommend it since it not only comes woth the memory but also a preinstalled heatshield.
