Sarah Jessica Parker Born Lovely 30ml Eau De Parfum Spray

My absolute, go to favorite for perfume. I always have my full sized product in the bathroom when I get ready for the day. I also always keep a roller ball in my purse for emergencies. The scent will stay with you all day and leave a hint of your scent everywhere you go.

Born Lovely is a great addition to her Lovely line-up, but you can tell it’s influenced by other scents in the marketplace. Strong cedar, but the cassis definitely sweetens it up. IMHO, it’s a super soft, super-musky cousin of Black Opium. They share a spicy/woodsy dry down.

Simple bottle, complex fragrance. Out of the rollerball, the top heart base notes are all pretty much laid out already. It has some of the patchouli/woody notes found in Stash mixed with the light airy white florals found in Lovely. But don’t get me wrong, this is by no means a combo of the two. Instead it draws inspiration from the two polar opposites of SJP’s line (lovely and Stash) but creates something totally new (and stunning, might I add). It really does reach across the whole fragrance spectrum, and for the reason I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of those scents that can smell totally different on different people. I’ve never tried an SJP fragrance I didn’t like, and this is no exception.

I got this in my ipsy bag and was pleasantly surprised. As other reviewers have said, this is a more mature scent, but let me tell you this is no grandma perfume! I think it's really sophisticated, bright, and fresh. I'm horrible at describing scents so here are the fragrance notes: Top: mandarin, peony, casisMiddle: blushing freesia, honeysuckle, orange blossomBase: patchouli, cedarwood, caramelI think this is a perfect scent for everyday wear and also for special occasions. It lasts all day without being overpowering which is impressive considering the price of this perfume. I am looking forward to purchasing the full size once my rollerball runs out!

Clean soapy scent!

Luckily this fragrance is not similar to the original lovely! This one is more clean and the musk is not too much either. It's well blended and balanced. It's a clean soapy scent. I love it!

Good everyday perfume

I’m not usually a fan of celebrity perfumes but gave this a go as part of Boots Review Panel. The scent itself is quite nice, light and not too overpowering. It doesn’t have much staying power so more of a daytime/work perfume in my opinion. The packaging is quite indicative of the cost and doesn’t feel particularly high end but can’t complain for the price. I removed the bow but that was just personal preference. Overall, it’s not a bad perfume but I’m not sure I’d have bought it myself.

Has a beautiful modern floral scent!

I found that this perfume overall had a lovely modern floral scent that was perfect for daytime use! I also felt that the subtle hints of citrus notes which wasn't too overpowering really helped in making the perfume smell quite fresh, and as the perfume dried down I loved that I was able to notice sweeter notes like caramel afterwards. The size of this perfume bottle is quite small which makes it perfect for carrying on the go and topping up if needed, and I love the elegant simplicity of the perfume bottle design itself. I also received compliments on wearing this and would definitely recommend this perfume to any floral fragrance lover who is looking to try a new gorgeous everyday perfume!

Nice perfume

The packaging is lovely, nice, pretty bottle. The fragrance was rather overwhelming when first applied, too sweet for my liking. Once it had soaked in/settled it was quite a nice fragrance, hints of fruits and vanilla. I do like a fruity/sweet fragrance so I may be biased. I did find I had to reapply late afternoon as the smell was practically gone. The bottle did fit nicely in my handbag though. Lovely fragrance from SJP

Not too sickly, good for everyday wear

I tend to prefer slightly more floral scents than this one and ones that stand out a little more. For me, this isn't a particularly memorable scent and I'd quite easily pass this by for a lot of other perfumes. It's definitely not floral, and in that sense not remotely sickly which is good. I'd categorise it more in the 'woody' scents. Staying power isn't great, but the bottle is quite small so will fit into most handbags just fine. Great for an everyday perfume, but nothing special.

Prefer this over Lovely

I bought both Lovely and Born Lovely based on my preference for woody florals and seeing as they were both so affordable, I could afford to not like one, or both. Luckily I did quite like Born Lovely. It’s less sweet and more fresh. Lovely has a fructose-laden fragrance that was a little overpowering for my taste. Born Lovely seemed to let the woody notes shine through more. I’m no connoisseur but it seems like a more mature fragrance, less girly.
