Scanpan Classic 26cm Fry Pan

I am very pleased with my new Scanpan fry pan. Peter's price was extremely competitive, so it was an excellent buy for the price. The Scanpan is not to heavy, which can be a problem as we get older, out pans become to heavy to use effectively. The pan heats up well, has even spread of heat and cooks very well indeed. I find the Scanpan very easy to clean. I wash by hand, rather than in a dishwasher. Overall, an excellent fry pan. I can highly recommend it.

20cm too small sadly - re-ordered to perfection- 20/10. :-)

This frying pan was returned/replaced, as it was discovered to be too shallow for cooking multiple things we cook in our household - asking for too much over flow/spitting/ messy stoves. It was just a shame the 20cm frypan wasn’t 2-3cm deeper, otherwise things may have reconsidered.I made sure I got correct depth ones upon re-ordering though, as they’ve been tremendously user friendly. :-) The likes of these frypans is they’re easy to cook with and so easy to clean with non-stick assistance. They’re also not hot handled when using either which is appreciated, and you don’t need oils/butters to cook with, which is great, that’s your choice of course. Really pleased with these. Purchased four in different sizes, They cook well - am using on Miele gas top. Get super hot fast but respond well to heat reduction. Lovely non stick surface. Look good too and wash very easily. Last time I purchased expensive frypans was more than ten years ago - they were always disappointing so I’ve been buying cheapies and renewing regularly. But very glad I’ve invested in these - I think they are here for the long haul.

Best little fry pan ever.

Fantastic little fry pan. I ordered this pan specifically because I have an induction stove top. It’s used several times a week. Perfect for scrambling a few eggs, sauteeing an onion,chopped bacon or other bits and bobs for pasta. Love that it is oven safe and the non-stick surface is brilliant.

Disgruntled

After quite a long wait my pan was delivered. It was handed to me by the courier is an open ended clear plastic bag with a label attached! That was it. No packing, no box, just slipped into a plastic bag. The pan had been marked on the outside surface in transit. Contacted customer service, providing photos. A few days later received a response saying, - sorry it shouldn’t have happened! That was it, no offer of replacement, no offer of a refund. Nothing! I really needed my pan as I was about to buy a new induction cooktop so I just kept the pan as I was too angry to take it further. Needless to say, I purchased my new Miele cooktop elsewhere as I will be doing with future purchases.

Hubby can't destroy it

No matter what I said, my family and hubby in particular, always used metal utensils on them and I was forever replacing them and repeating ""Black on black, metal on metal.""Decided to give Scanpan a try even though I was doubtful. Started with the 8"" pan and it quickly became the 'go to' pan for everything from eggs to grilled cheese. In fact, it just sits on top the range. No sense putting it away. It cleans up fast, doesn't stick, requires very little fat or oil (in fact none works well, too), and isn't bothered by metal spatulas at all. It feels solid, but not too heavy, and has a nice balance.Here's something else about the pan besides the nonstick quality it has a nice flat bottom. Even with the curved sides, there's good 'cook space.' Be aware though, for people who are upgrading from standard skillets, this one has a disk on the underside for even heating. What this means is that it takes longer to heat to searing temps. I usually just put a drop of water in it to see if the water beads and bounces to see when it's ready.At first I hesitated because of the cost, but in the long run, it's definitely more cost effective to get a Scanpan than to keep replacing the cheaper pans that don't last as long or take a beating. Must Have Cookware

A friend has been recommending this brand for a long time but the price has been a deterrent. When I saw it on special here I was very tempted, but as I already had "good" frying pans I was still reluctant. Fortunately the temptation won me over. You can feel the quality as soon as you pick it up, it is fairly heavy, but it does a wonderful job. It heats up to cooking temperature quite rapidly and cooks my food evenly and thoroughly. Omelettes are a breeze. And all you have to do to clean it is wipe it with a damp cloth, although I do use soapy water. Thoroughly recommended. I will be buying others in this range. As usual the service from kitchen warehouse was exemplary.

Perfect size

Perfect 20cm nonstick frying pan for frittata, eggs, small fry ups for one or two. It can go into the oven, so I will eventually make a Tarte Tartine when Golden Delicious are in season. The quality is excellent. I'm a fan of Scanpan cookware. The nonstick is perfect, and little or no oil is required. I recommend this product if you are seeking a small fry pan. It works perfectly on my induction cooktop.

So far so good!

We love this Fry Pan. It's huge and is functioning as our griddle now. We have gone through a lot of expensive skillets that promise not to warp (but do). So far this pan is sitting flat and steady on our glass top stove. Yay!

Works perfectly

Well weighted, excellent non-slip surface. No hot spots, spreads heat well. We’re only allowing silicone utensils and hand washing but so far the surface has worked perfectly without any oil added.
