Scanpan - Classic 28 cm Glass Lid

The Scanpan lids are great. Best to place them in a seperate draw as the glass cracks and shatters if they are placed in a saucepan drawer.

The lid I bought is a replacement for one that at least 8years old.The previous one was solid glass, whilst this replacement has a stainless steel band around thecircumference. It looks as if it will do the job perfectly.

CLASSIC 10.25'' Glass Lid

It fits my pan perfectly and the knob doesn't get too hot to touch. It is so much easier to cook items properly when I can see them.

CLASSIC 10.25'' Glass Lid

I love my San pan, but having the lid makes it complete! I love the fact that it becomes a steamer with the lid! This is my favorite utensil in my kitchen!

I bought this lid

I bought this lid as a replacement for one of the domed classic lids which I dropped unfortunately. It is disappointing as it does not fit the casserole properly and is always perched dangerously on top. If I do thump it down into the top of the casserole I have trouble removing it and have to lever it off with a knife, which is dangeropus when the food is hot. Why would they change a perfectly satisfactory design? At least they could have made them the same size. I would not recommend this product for the above reason, and if this happens with future replacements I would consider changing my brand of cookware because it is dangerous to use.

Large glass lid for nonstick fry pan

Although not the same brand, it fit the large non-stick fry pan I bought previously.Very well made and study. Easy to clean.

Lid fits my Silit saucepan

I have recently purchased an induction cooktop - so wishing to avoid the expense of buying a whole new set of saucepans decided to resurrect my beautiful Silit saucepans ( wedding present over 40 years ago). I was dismayed to find that I was unable to purchase a 16cm lid at my local homewares shop. Decided to give this Scanpan lid a go and pleased to advise that this lid works perfectly,

Lids do fit other scanpans of matching size

Love these lids. They absolutely do work with the any of their pans that match the size.Write your review here. It must be at least 10 characters long. Consider whether you would recommend this product and what you like or dislike about it.

So happy replacements available

So happy to find out I could get a replacement lid for my scan pan frypan. Also happy to find out that when you drop it on a tiled floor, it shatters like a windscreen, not a wineglass.

The cover sealed the deal.

A friend of mine, who is also a proficient cook, recommended the Scanpan to me. We purchased the pan and then ordered the lid which was an important element to me. I love the pan and the lid and use it most days. My only concern is making sure to not heat the pan at high temps.
