It looks smaller than I expected - comparing it to my other "standard" 24cm pans, I realised that the sides height of the Scanpan is 4cm, while with my other pans it is 5cm, and that makes a difference. It's light and sturdy, and the instructions to use are simple and unintimidating.First use - eggs. Being of little faith and with no eggs to waste, I brushed the bottom of the pan with a little sunflower oil; when it came time to remove them, they slid off their position on the bottom and promptly got stuck on the unoiled sides. No oil for pork sausages, which moved around the pan while sizzling because they could not get stuck. Pancakes turned out OK, with a little butter, keeping in mind that getting anything crispy/browned is a challenge on non-stick. The pan pretty much reached its capacity full of meatballs with around a cup of sauce, and the Scanpan lid impressively ensured that not a drop of sauce escaped while simmering. It seems to absorb/retain food smells very well (I wash it with soap after each use). I have not noticed this smell transferring to food being cooked.Scanpan are hand-made, environmentally friendly, and produced with 100% recycled aluminum, which is a selling point for me personally. Lids are available, which is great.Maybe there is no pan that is non-stick without some fat, the only difference is how much fat, and in this sense this pan performs in line with its price tag. Time will tell whether it stays that way. It's not your only option (my other non-stick pan was a third of the price and is just as good, stumbled on by accident at Checkers, and there is plenty of choice at the Scanpan price point) but it's a very safe bet. I will still face the zombie apocalypse with my cast iron pans, but I am happy to have Scanpan in my arsenal.A star off for smell retention and lower-than-expected sides. Buy the lid.

Have to admit I'm a bit biased towards Scanpan products, but hey, there's a good reason for that!Nothing good lasts forever they say, and so it was with our previous daily egg and bacon breakfast pan after some years of very high use, it was looking a bit tired and worn out.So selected this pan because its the right size for the job, previous experience with Scanpan products. It heats effectively evenly all over the pan and has sufficient base not to overcook to quickly; or cook too hot.Does the job well, gets the nod!PS Don't put it in the dishwasher whatever the label says. They don't agree with each other....especially of you want long lasting.

They are really good pans, feel firm strong with a thick base. Great non stick surface can use with only a slight bit of oil. I'm impressed!! The only issue i have is when i unpacked them, the lager pan was flattened on one side, i thought at first this was a feature, but on checking it wasn't? the packaging shows no signs of damaged or being dropped, so must have come from the factory like this?? just curious as to the quality control, but it works all good!

I absolutely love every item that Scanpan produces. They are the best. I gave away all my ALLClad pots and pans because the Scanpans are such incredible, reliable products. Easy to cook, easy to clean, and very little oil or butter needed. The problem I had with this one piece—and I think it was more the Williams-Sonoma warehouse— is that I ordered the 9 inch pan twice// and they kept sending the wrong size ( the 10 “ which I already had ) which was so frustrating. Even our wonderful, local WS store manager was baffled.
Fleur was absolutely fantastic. Great advice about my new fry pan and then very accommodating when trying to use my Mothers Day voucher. Unfortunately the system let us down and wouldn’t let it be scanned but we found a way around and managed to complete the purchase with click and collect on line. This required returning to the store an hour later but Fleur had put my purchase aside and all worked out well. The store is always a very pleasant experience.
Love this style and size. Really versatile. Luckily it just fits in pots and pans drawer in the kitchen. The flatter and bigger shape means that it's perfect for frying and feeds the whole family. Or alternatively making things like pikelets, can do a bigger bunch. It's my new favourite pan.
This large frypan is what I use for all my larger cuts like T-bone steak, pork chops, and when I am cooking for more people. The nonstick surface works like magic for preventing the meat from sticking to the bottom of the pan. I have found that following the instructions and allowing the pan to cool entirely before cleaning with a soft plastic brush and hot water maintains the nonstick quality. Scanpan goes over and beyond in this feature; no more black bits you can’t remove! What a relief! Very highly recommended.
Absolutely recommend this product. I have two teenagers that cook with it constantly. It is lightweight and so easy to clean, even when it has been left on the hot plate for a couple of hours with residue in the pan. I feared the worst but it cleaned up like it was brand new. A must have in every kitchen. This is my second pan in over 6 years.
Fantastic frypan. It's a perfect size for two oldies in the household:)It is the best non-stick frypan I have ever used.Cleaning is an absolute breeze; running hot water over the frypan and all the dregs of food just fall off.Wipe dry and put it back in the drawer ready to use over and over again.
I love this little frypan. I had one of these prior to renovating my kitchen and it lasted really well and performed beautifully. Now that I have an induction cooktop, I had to buy the induction friendly version. I use it for making a little frittata then finishing off under the grill, or frying a few cherry tomato’s or bacon for a cooked breakfast. It cleans up really easily as well.
