Scanpan Classic Induction Fry Pan 20cm

I am very pleased with my new Scanpan fry pan. Peter's price was extremely competitive, so it was an excellent buy for the price. The Scanpan is not to heavy, which can be a problem as we get older, out pans become to heavy to use effectively. The pan heats up well, has even spread of heat and cooks very well indeed. I find the Scanpan very easy to clean. I wash by hand, rather than in a dishwasher. Overall, an excellent fry pan. I can highly recommend it.

20cm too small sadly - re-ordered to perfection- 20/10. :-)

This frying pan was returned/replaced, as it was discovered to be too shallow for cooking multiple things we cook in our household - asking for too much over flow/spitting/ messy stoves. It was just a shame the 20cm frypan wasn’t 2-3cm deeper, otherwise things may have reconsidered.I made sure I got correct depth ones upon re-ordering though, as they’ve been tremendously user friendly. :-) The likes of these frypans is they’re easy to cook with and so easy to clean with non-stick assistance. They’re also not hot handled when using either which is appreciated, and you don’t need oils/butters to cook with, which is great, that’s your choice of course. Really pleased with these. Purchased four in different sizes, They cook well - am using on Miele gas top. Get super hot fast but respond well to heat reduction. Lovely non stick surface. Look good too and wash very easily. Last time I purchased expensive frypans was more than ten years ago - they were always disappointing so I’ve been buying cheapies and renewing regularly. But very glad I’ve invested in these - I think they are here for the long haul.

Best skillets ever

I have already purchased four different classic items from scanpan, and I am going to order two more of the 8”, and 10” pans. I use them all the time; I want to have two more of the ones I have so that I am able to prepare food for each of us at the same time.I am still going to purchase more pans from this company that is from Denmark for real. I have Viking pans that are still great; but I am still even more impressed with this company’s product more than any other. It indicates that one may use the dishwasher, and metal cooking utensils for these pans; I prefer to hand wash them, and to use a good product for cooking utensils that are made with excellent materials that are silicone spatulas that I also hand wash too. It takes only two minutes for this handwashing, and I would prefer to keep my pans in the best condition possible, for a two minute cleanup it’s very worth it to me! A great pan, and at a great price.

Great product BUT

I absolutely love every item that Scanpan produces. They are the best. I gave away all my ALLClad pots and pans because the Scanpans are such incredible, reliable products. Easy to cook, easy to clean, and very little oil or butter needed.The problem I had with this one piece—and I think it was more the Williams-Sonoma warehouse— is that I ordered the 9 inch pan twice// and they kept sending the wrong size ( the 10 “ which I already had ) which was so frustrating. Even our wonderful, local WS store manager was baffled.

Love Scanpan Classic range

Love this frypan, it is a good size and I purchased a lid to fit. I make the German side dish spaetzle which requires saute in butter and the lid puffs them up deliciously. Husband loves it.I have slowly been replacing all my saucepans and pans to this range.The service and delivery is always excellent.

Must Have Cookware

A friend has been recommending this brand for a long time but the price has been a deterrent. When I saw it on special here I was very tempted, but as I already had "good" frying pans I was still reluctant. Fortunately the temptation won me over. You can feel the quality as soon as you pick it up, it is fairly heavy, but it does a wonderful job. It heats up to cooking temperature quite rapidly and cooks my food evenly and thoroughly. Omelettes are a breeze. And all you have to do to clean it is wipe it with a damp cloth, although I do use soapy water. Thoroughly recommended. I will be buying others in this range. As usual the service from kitchen warehouse was exemplary.

Nice at First - Fails with Use

I have had this pan for years. It was great at first and I used it as my go-to skillet. Nothing stuck to it. And even though they claim you can use metal utensils on it, I never did. I only used wood, plastic, or silicone. Nor did I put it in the dishwasher. I babied it! But after many years, the surface is now scratched up and is no longer non-stick. I contacted the manufacturer to get a warranty replacement and was sent back an email indicating the damage was due to my abuse of it and not a failure of the material itself and they would not be replacing it under warranty. If using the pan frequently is considered abuse, I guess I'm guilty. But I sure don't know how they can claim it would stand up to metal utensils! Scanpan outlasts all others

Perfect but I knew that , I purchased my first Scanpanskillet 32cm 35 years ago and it is still in use on the days I need to make a large quantity.I have other pieces of scanpan I always go back to despite having purchased prettier colourful pansthat don’t stand the test of high heat .Yes scanpan after years of use looks as though it has no place in a Martha Stewart kitchen but trust me it’s the best!!

Works perfectly

Well weighted, excellent non-slip surface. No hot spots, spreads heat well. We’re only allowing silicone utensils and hand washing but so far the surface has worked perfectly without any oil added.
