10/10! Great nonstick pan, we use it every day. Very easy to wash (but not in the dishwasher, which isn't a problem, because everything just literally comes off super easy). It really is nonstick. It's not lightweight, but not very heavy either. A great, solid, pan that will last for years.

So far an excellent pan, the only one thing to make it better perhaps would be a more insulated lid handle as it gets very hot in use. But thats being really picky. The stratanium coating is very good.

It's beautiful, there is no denying that. It's a bit heavier than my other scan pan pots, that have the dark finish. Another thing to consider, is the handle can get hot. It's got the beauty factor, but I should have compared them in a store. I would have bought the dark finish. Lighter and handle stays cooler.

The good -The coating in this pan is amazing. Absolutely non stick and durable. I’ve used it to pop popcorn often with no scratching or damage whatsoever. The bad -It’s very heavy, which wouldn’t be that much of a problem except, the metal handle has zero texture and the barest bit of water or oil makes it impossible to maneuver the pan to pour out the contents. It slips in your hand to the bottom heavy down position. The gasket around the lid also retains moisture not drying out completely. This is unnoticeable until you hear the pan with the lid on, say to make popcorn. Once the pan heated, a fair amount of water expands, falls out of the gasket and creates a huge amount of steam and adds almost a teaspoon of water to the pot.All that said, the cooking ... MoreThe good -The coating in this pan is amazing. It’s just a shame that a pot of this quality and cost has these basic design flaws.
Awesome saucepan. I ordered it to to add to the 10 piece set I bought. The nonstick surface is amazing. I am very happy with my purchase.
We upgraded from CTX and so glad we did.Saving up for the 5.25 Qt covered Saucepan or 5.25 Qt Covered Chefs Pan or even the 12.5 inch Fry Pan
The holes in the lid do let steam out causing the sauce to cook down so you have to watch it a bit closer when simmering on low heat. The feel and finish is excellent.
It's a great little pan. I was replacing an old anodized aluminum one where the non-stick coating was wearing off, so now preparing cheese sauce etc. is a dream, as is clean-up. I admit that I was surprised by the weight -- not a problem, but still took me by surprise -- and also by the 2 holes in the glass lid. It turns out that some makers do this to all their glass lids, for reasons they don't bother to explain, and if you cherished the concept of a tightly fitting lid to hold in all of the steam that isn't able to squeeze out between the lid and the pan, then you will be disappointed. It's no big deal, but I would have preferred to not have the holes.
I know this is a good product. I also have other Scanpan items. However, I willmost likely be returning as its quite heavy. I knew it wouldn't be light weight, but I also don't want cookware that's a 2 qt saucepan that is as heavy as this.
Heats up fairly quickly and evenly. Food does not stick and I love that the lid has 2 holes which steam can escape from. I hand wash to preserve the quality but I believe it is dishwasher safe. A+

Scanpan HaptIQ 16cm/1.8 Litre Saucepan
Scanpan HaptIQ Stratanium+ Nonstick Saucepan is designed for cooking beans, heating soups, steaming vegetables and more. Scanpan HaptIQ is thoroughbred cookware for the discerning and demanding. It is for those seeking the sublime in their kitchen, and who love design details that are coupled with an elegant and exclusive look. The frying structure is a composite 5-layer construction, all of which contribute to the cooking equipment's strength and characteristics. A steel layer increases durability and makes the cooking equipment suitable for induction, while an aluminum core contributes to optimal heat distribution. For use with ceramic, gas, halogen, induction, oven proof, radiant ring, and solid plate. There are tangible benefits too, such as when you place the floating glass lid with its steel edge nice and firmly on top of the pot or pan. It's the sound and sense of precision and perfection. Stratanium+ is in addition to its unrivaled hardness and durability, known for its alternative crispness and crackling sound, when you fry and brown your food. A sound caused by the micro cavities that form during use. Stratanium+ was developed by Scanpan in collaboration with international gourmet chefs. It is the chefs' uncompromising approach to frying and preparation that has been the common thread for the development team behind of the new surface, which leaves the more traditional nonstick coatings behind. The chefs cannot hide their enthusiasm for the crispy crust and special browning that forms when you fry on Stratanium+. It brings out flavors that can be hard to achieve on traditional nonstick cookware.
