On my second pair. First pair lasted two years intill they fell apart. Used every day for dog walking probably 20 miles a week.As other review said, stitching started coming apart around about a year and let water in very soon after that happened. But I would still recommend if you can get them on a deal. Not sure I would pay the £170rrp. I’m guessing if your using these boots once a month or so they will probably last for years

I have had a pair of these Scarpa boots for well over a year and they are so much better and better made than a competing brand who were taken over. So I purchased a second pair from Sports Direct. They are great - except they are not a matching pair. One boot has chrome lace hooks, the other black (I'd post a photo, but this system doesn't allow that). It doesn't matter, so I haven't returned them, but it does make me wonder what on earth is going on at Sports Direct.

I just bought those because I have been using Scarpa Crux for the last three years and loved them. Now on receiving these boots, I noticed that the sole is NOT made of rubber at all, but rather some kind of polyurethane that is EXTREMELY slippery on a wet floor, so I can easily predict that they will be also extremely slippery on wet rock, or roots in the woods. How can a company decide to make hiking shoes with that sort of useless sole? And sell them at such a high price? They DO know how to make real rubber soles that have fantastic grip in the Crux shoes, so why don't they do the same with these expensive Mistral shoes? I'm returning them before they harm me.

This is my 3rd pair of Scarpas, after the Zen Pro and Terra GTX. All great shoes, super comfortable from the get-go, lightweight but solid, and bade on my experiences with the former two, very durable. The Mistral is a great fit, I got the 43.5 on sale and substituted the insole with a slightly thicker version (my normal size is 43) and it is perfect. I look forward to my summer backpacking trips. (One comment on my all-leather Scarpa Terra GTX which I love: I would love it even more if the front of the boot had a rubber cap to give it more protection from scratches and scuffing.)
This is the third pair of these boots I’ve had. I would not buy any other make. They are comfortable straight out of the box and wear extremely well, remaining fully waterproof.
This fitted very well but I have a narrow foot. I had Scarpa boots like these years ago which also fitted me well. Haven't been on the hills in the rain yet so can't give 5 stars. I often have to get a half size up for length which can then be a bit wide in the toe box but not with these. Comfortable out of the box.
I have given up with lightweight summer boots. My last pair of Meindl packed up and leaked in under 2 years. The Scarpa's are better constructed and I am expecting them to perform much better.
I purchased these boots about 4 months ago and to date have been thrilled with these boots. As for the fit....I am a 10 1/2 Mens and these boots fit like a glove. The area behind the toebox is lower than normal (which I initially thought would be a concern) but have actually prevented any internal foot movement in the boot. I have worn Meindl and HanWag' boots for 20+ years in every known condition and these boots are a fantastic lightweight alternative. In comparison to the Meindl and Hanwag's this Scarpa boot has a lower heel rise which prevents accidental ankle rolls. From the stiching, comfort fit, lacing, and durability I would highly recommend this boot.
Loving these boots! I have slightly narrow feet (C width) and a low instep, difficult to fit so I'm super thrilled to get a boot that fits like a glove. The lacing system is the best I have ever used, with lace locks at the top of the instep instead of the usual placement at the ankle. This works much better! Also I like how the laces really flow through the eyelets. The sole has a full shank (rock plate) which offers excellent foot protection. The lacing system and fit are so good that even with the full shank sole I have zero heel lift. I can use thin high-content Merino wool socks which are very soft and they never wear out. The only downside to this boot is the suede leather is weaker than nubuck but keep it waxed and this helps ward off abrasive damage, keeps ... MoreLoving these boots! This will also help soften up the tongue which is the only part of the boot which required a bit of break-in time. Oh and get this... Made in Italy... I'm now a total Scarpa fan!
I bought these a few months ago - my old Scarpa boots had finally had it. I always leave it a while before reviewing so that you have a good experience and period of time from actually using them. The good - Very comfortable from the off. No need to break them in. I find Scarpa boots always fit me spot on with, in my opionion, a narrow heel so the fit is good. Waterproof and no wet feet issues so far, so performing well here. I like the lace lock eyelets, boot always stays well fastened across your foot over rough terrain. The bad - the vibram soles are very poor on any wet terrain and especially across mud or wet stoney ground. I find myself constantly slipping. No issues in the dry. Not sure if the sole material is too hard or the outer sole tread / sipes are just ... MoreI bought these a few months ago - my old Scarpa boots had finally had it.
