It's so odd to me, seeing so many 5 star reviews on this canned kitten food. I foster neonatal kittens, and have never had good luck with this food. My adult cats and my Am Staff, who typically go to extreme, sneaky lengths to steal foster kitten foods, won't even touch this. I'm assuming it's a cheaper canned kitten food, because it's donated to our Humane Society a lot. It's one that they typically give out to fosters when they are low on donations. Everyone knows that the kittens don't eat it well. I can get about half of my fosters, at most, to eat it if I mix it with warm kitten formula. Plain, they will rarely eat it. The adults cats in my home and my garbage disposal of a dog don't even want anything to do with it. That really makes me wonder about quality. My sweet boy suffered from Struvite stones and was prescribed this food. He has been on the maintenance food for over a year and hasn’t had any more urinary problems! The food is small and easy to eat. My boy goes crazy for the taste, too! It’s the only food he will even consider eating! I’m very happy with the performance of this food. It’s a bit more expensive, but in the long run, it’s cheaper than having to rush your baby to the emergency vet during the weekend! The price of the food is worth the peace of mind you get from having a healthier pet!

I received HILL'S SCIENCE DIET ADULT TENDER CHICKEN RECIPE CAT FOOD, 2.8-OZ POUCH in exchange for my honest review. First, this pouch contains a large serving size. Normally, we mix the wet food with dry food to serve to our kitty. There is enough in this pouch for two feedings if you serve it the way we do. There is so much gravy that it is perfect for mixing with dry. For this review we gave her the entire pouch to see her honest reaction. She licked the bowl clean! Kitty approved! I love the look of the food and will purchase in the future. Thank you @pinchme and @ hill’ssciencediet

My cat does not like the taste of this cat food. I could no longer seem to find the food that she really likes, which is Friskies Shreds with gravy. She is 13 years old and my dog liked Science Diet dry dog food, so I thought I would try a Science Diet version of cat food for an aging cat. It is 400% more expensive and my cat doesn’t like it.
So sad -- the formula must have changed. I've been purchasing this exact product from Hill's - Savory Chicken flavor only - for almost a year.My cats, who have been eating this product up every morning for almost a year now, have suddenly stopped eating it. (No other changes to their diet or health.) I thought maybe I got a bad batch and tested with a new batch; the result was the same.I tested another brand with this product side-by-side and the new brand was gone within the hour, while Hill's was... picked on a little but still there. My cat kids are 2-3 years young and indoor only. Hope this review helps.
My cats normally eat Science Diet Oral Care dry food, but we had to abruptly switch one of them to this when she had two teeth pulled. She is very picky but reluctantly ate it for the two weeks that she was required to, and now has grown to love it. She vomits less frequently than she ever did on her preferred dry food diet and stays full longer. This is much more expensive than the dry food--my only complaint!--which is why I'm not giving it five stars. It is higher quality than Friskies but I wouldn't call it affordable if this is your cat's primary diet. We are sticking with it for now due to my cat digesting it more easily than her old food.
We switched from Royal Canin to Hills Science Diet and couldn't be happier. The price is reasonable and availability is great! Best of all, our cats love it! They used to graze on the Royal Canin over a couple hours. With the Hill's Science Diet, they are eating 95% of it at the first sitting...We are totally sold!
Per my vet's recommendations, I've been giving my cats Science Diet over the last 3 generations of cats. So far here are my experiences: The kittens had severe diarrhea with the kitten food; their mother's lip, with only FOUR kibbles swelled immediately and has remained swollen. My last 3 cats prior all had intestinal lymphoma and my vet and I are convinced it is the food. My other cat had his chin break out so severely it was just raw and bloody, right into his lips. My cats have developed horrible coughs and I'm spending a fortune on tests and allergy meds that aren't working. So far 2 cans out of a case the food was actually green, the food is never a consist color, some times on the tan side, sometimes on the red side. The food has continued to get more and more ... MorePer my vet's recommendations, I've been giving my cats Science Diet over the last 3 generations of cats. My cats have developed horrible coughs and I'm spending a fortune on tests and allergy meds that aren't working. So far 2 cans out of a case the food was actually green, the food is never a consist color, some times on the tan side, sometimes on the red side. The food has continued to get more and more watery and the cats are acting more and more starved. It used to be firm; you could slice it down the middle in the can and put it in two dishes. Now it is so watered down you have to use a spoon and a lot of it you can't even scrape out. Quite a marketing scam, add more water so the cats will want more food and I'll have to buy more so SD can make more money. I thought back to my cat who was so very healthy, for 13 years her veterinary record was 1 page, front and back - vaccines. She was on Nutro Max. I made the switch the other day. Normal stools, no coughing, that cats are far more satisfied on far less food. Imagine that. SD contains wheat gluten, by products, among other things I don't want my cats to have. I wish I had the photos to post but I don't have them readily available. You would be shocked!
My 17 yr old babe was diagnosed with early stage CKD-the vet recommended a non-prescription wet food diet, preferably chicken. I did a lot of research and this was the most recommended non-prescription option. Fortunately, she loves it. Unfortunately, due to pandemic-related supply chain issues it's become difficult to find in stock, but I was able to find it here at PetFlow. I'm happy and so is my babe. < 3
My cats have food sensitivities, and they were doing great on this product. They can't eat chicken (the only flavor available) so we're stuck trying food from other manufacturers. When is this coming back? If there is no intention of bringing it back, why list it on the website? This is frustrating.
